Shelved Infinite Crisis and 52 vol 1 for now. I think I am just not into superheroes right now.

I read vol 1 of Morning Glories which I enjoyed and I am impatiently waiting vol 2.

Ive just finished Self Made Hero's adaption of At the Mountains of Madness. I really enjoyed it and now would not mind reading the original H P Lovecraft story as this adaption was my first exposure to this story.
Currently reading Savage Sword of Conan Volume 2. Very good !

read Death Ray by Clowes.  I really liked it for it's uniqueness.  It's very different from most comics.  The protagonist is a loner, who hates the world.  He develops superpowers by smoking cigarettes.  the story follows him and his friend Louie on adventures as they explore his powers.

I picked up my copy at the library.  I liked it enough that I've added the book to my wish list.

Onikage: The Art of Toshio Saeki
Fucked.  Up.
If someone walks into a bar and has Toshio Saeki imagery tattooed all over their body, buy them a drink and then get the fuck out.

Beautiful stuff, though, AND another Last Gasp steal on Amazon.

Ganges #1-3
I love these comics. His sense of the page and design and the way the book effortless deals with things that you would think would be difficult to convey is incredible. Also #2 is the best portrayal of video games in any medium other than video games that I have ever seen he manages to touch on every single aspect of them, including how mystifying they can be when you are just onlooking and are not involved (the opening bit).

Love it, shame Amazon.ca doesn't have #4 listed, guess I will have to pick it up from Fanta at TCAF.

Read the latest issue of Chew last night, that book is so much fun it is ridiculous.  All the little nods that Guillory throws into his art just blows me away.  Last night in the book there is a picture of a shark with the words "friggin laser beams" under it.   Roll On Floor Laughing

I just love this book, it is exactly what comics should be.

Just finished Thor: The Mighty Avenger

I heard all the hype when it was coming out monthly so I decided to give it a try.

The Samnee art is fantastic.

Moving on to Habibi by Craig Thompson (checked out from my local library).

Thumbs Up

I love Toshio Saeki's work, one of my favorite contemporary Japanese artists.

This is an interesting book, certain panels are not safe to read at work on my lunch. I like that the characters were really fleshed out, at times i really couldn't connect with the book at other events felt a little close to home. This was strange experience reading this book, glad i read it but cant imagine rereading any time soon.

Finally finished Critical Millenium (it's super cheap on Comixology- £2.99/ $5) and loved it- tightly woven world building, which doesn't come at the expense of plot. Also the art makes complete use of comics' unlimited budget. I look very much forward to the next volume.
