Is that Peter Quill at the beginning of this?

Oooooh Yeah!   Just got back from a local showing of "Quantum of Solace", but no Star Trek trailer shown there.  Cry

While I liked that trailer a lot, it pretty much killed any expectation I had that I could take my wife to see this movie.  She loves the original series and Next Generation, but the tone of this trailer seems a little far away from those two TV shows.  I'm still going, though.

(Also: is it just me or did the guy who approached young Kirk at the beginning kind of look like Peter Quill, Starlord?  Or is it just waaaaay past my bedtime?)

I'm excited mainly because I hadn't any expectations. Only thing that got me worried is Simon Pegg...

Can't wait, and I'm not a big Trek fan.

Celina doesn't really care for Trek at all, and even she's excited.

Also, she's got a mad crush on Captain Pike (which came up cause I asked if they'll be addressing him in the film, and she did some wiki-fu on him).

I dug it tons.

I kinda like not knowing a lot about Kirk's days as a young lad, I hope the trailer shows us pretty much the extent of what we see of boy Kirk.

Way to go on the Peter Quill/Star Lord reference, Mike and Devin!

Apple's Paramount/Star Trek trailer page.

I'm very excited about the Trailer.  Eric Bana looks pretty sweet at the end and I love the idea that they are showing a multiple ship battle sequence instead of two large ships standing still and fighting.

You shouldn't worry about Simon Pegg- he's pretty much sound in everything I've seen him in. You should worry about Chris Pine- a man named after a tree.

If that's Spock, and knowing Abrams it is, that will be lame. The mythologies of predestination and fate have no place in Star Trek.

And, I hope it's not just another action movie set in space, Trek is better than that.

The trailer looks really cool(at least, after the kiddie Kirk car crap). There's a lot of flash, time will tell if it has any substance.

I'm cautiously optimistic. The wait is just beginning.

The trailers have really got me looking forward to seeing it.  I am by no means a trekkie and know very little about the Star Trek universe.  But I think this looks really promising.  And how can anything with Simon Pegg in it be bad?

AICN has a new 'Internet Only' trailer.  It can be found here.

EDIT: You can also right-click and save the 720p and the 1080p files if you want.

EDIT, yet again:  HOLY SPIT!!!  I was about to get all pissed because this is the EXACT SAME TRAILER we've seen.  But then I got to the end.

I had heard, but I'm not following the stories for this movie like I would have years ago.  So everything is a surprise to me.

"Internet Only" =  "Hey Geeks, check this out!"

Definitely even cooler than the first version though!  Cheesy

I love Quinto as Spock though... I think he is going to be excellent.

I'm a huge fan of classic Star Trek, and I can easily tell you that I'm absolutely stoked for this movie, and it's nice to be that way seeing that I haven't been excited for a Star Trek movie since Star Trek VI:  The Undiscovered Country...
