Hello,
My name is John and I'm from Tulsa. I'm 40 and I have been buying comics since the late 1970s. I lapsed in the nineties because of college, grad school, no money etc . . . (a good time to have lapsed).
Been listening to 11 o clock podcast for over a year, just stated marvel noise. I have bought and enjoyed many books based on your enthusiasm including a bunch of Tardi from Fantagraphics and Petrograd, which I have particularly enjoyed.
I really appreciate the variety of your tastes. I read a variety of stuff including a lot of the Big Two. I'm starting on the Starman omnbi and plan on hitting Moore's Echoes!
Thanks for the great shows!

New to the board, have been listening to the podcast for a few months now, seems like a great community you guys have built here, thanks.

Hailing frequencies to Vince, David, Jason, Chris and the EOC community. I live in the great state of Maryland in the Baltimore metro area. I have been reading comics since a kid, dropped em in HS when they weren't cool, picked em up again in the 90s when I didn't realize they were in a strange place and dropped em after $$ got tight in 93, picked em up again in 2001 (to get a justice league adventures for my 4 yr old son) and have been big into em since. I am a sci-fi/fantasy geek as well with a major in Star Trek. I read superhero mainly and a number of indie titles. Have more than 8,200 comics and trades. Green Lantern (Hal) and Flash (Barry) were my faves as a beginner in the early 70s and the JLA. I got rid of all these old comics in the late 80s (gave em to my wife - a teacher - to give to her 5th graders). I still follow JL but I really liked the old stories (kinda goofy comraderie). I am glad to be a part of this community. Love EOC. Haven't picks up my mamba discounts yet from the sponsor but intend to.
