Welcome, Steve from Chicago!
Thanks to my late grandfather's fondness of it, I have some JD from time to time. But I don't like hurting Chris's feelings.

Hi all, been away from this board for a long old time having drifted away toewards the latter days of bullpen bulletins due to life getting in the way, having 11O'clock podcast always download but never get listened to i decided to throw one a listen with 222 (nice symmetry to the number i think got me in . Thought i'd give the boards another whirl

I would suggest going here, type X-Men in the search field, and check off Search in topic subjects only to start. If there's a thread you feel like adding to, go right ahead. Don't worry about any 'this topic hasn't been used in 120 days' messages.

Oh man. Well I am a late bloomer to the comic scene. I just started reading the last couple of months (Not counting the random comics I read out of order as a kid). Anyway, please forgive me for my ignorance and my dumb questions. I feel pretty overwhelmed because there is so much to read and I don't know where to start! Anyway, nice to "meet" you!

Nice! What are you reading currently? And don't worry about silly questions. I've been here a while and I've been reading comics for a long time but I still have a lot of silly questions

Well, I started off with some Batman (Read Year One, Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Hush, Killing Joke, Man Who Laughs, Joker, The Court of Owls, The first volume of Knightfall and working my way through the second volume) which is my bread and butter at the moment but I try to pick something that is not super hero related when I place my orders (I am sticking to trade paperbacks and hardcovers for now). I read the first 3 volumes of American Vampire, which I love. And I just got the 5 volume of Locke and Key. I also read 3 volumes of Morrisons Animal Man (Felt like I could relate to Buddy Baker!). I have Teen Titans Year One that I haven't got to yet, I was hoping it was an appropriate spot to start considering its a year one. That is about where I stand right now. Any suggestions would be great!

You are starting off with some great stuff! I look forward to seeing you around here, welcome. As far as suggestions, well, if you liked Animal Man and Locke and Key, let me suggest Alan Moores run on Swamp Thing. It's contained in five different HC's or trades and they are all amazing.
