I'm gonna have to disagree. Some of my favorite X-Stories are the future ones. I especially liked the last arc of Morrison's New X-Men run. Maybe I'm just a really depressed person, but I like reading about how hopeless the future is for mutants.

Alternate Timeline.
It's an alternate future timeline because when Rachel was introduced, it was still possible for Scott & Jean to have had a female child named Rachel. But after Jean's deaths and Madelyne Pryor giving birth to Nathan, suddenly Rachel had no business existing. So "pop!". Alternate timeline! (now watch me continue reading to find someone else already said this....) |

Thank you! I unapologetically geek out over a bunch of creators' work.  As I've begun listening, I have to say Vince--I now understand how you've been analogized as the Art Bell of comics as you give me "18." And Wood!! You betta WORK it, brutha! You brung the numerology HEAT. It's just funny that Master Bryant was surprised that Wood was insightful. Somebody hasn't been listening from episode numero uno ... I don't remember saying I was surprised that Wood is insightful. I've emailed and PMed and posted with him enough to know that he's insightful. I hate the sound of my own voice, but you're going to force me to listen to the episode, aren't you? And I started listening with episode 3, where the rest of the team discovered Wood frozen in a block of ice and he went on to join the team... Bryant hasn't read any of FC (right?) ...
No, but I listen to podcasts.  |

I've listened through the 18 discussion, and I still can't find the part where "Master Bryant" is surprised that Wood is insightful. "Master Bryant" sounds surprised and excited that Kamandi ties into FC, but that's about it. |
