Has anyone here used Comixpress to have their books printed? If so, what was your reaction? How was the quality? Is it on glossy or non-glossy paper?

Same questions for people who have read books printed by Comixpress. How is the print quality?

Ever done a book through Ka-Blam? It's just like that. I've always been pleased with their product.

Oh definitely. I'm just sort of checking around and price shopping, comparing quality, etc.

Ka-Balm I'm already pretty familiar with and they do do nice work. I just don't want to jump into anything without having all of the pertinent information in front of me. Know what I mean?

BTW, who printed the Guns preview? I know you told me before, but I don't recall who it was. Was it Comic Book Printing? What did you think of working with them?

Yeah, comicbookprinting.com did the Guns book. They were cheaper than anyone else and their turnaround time was fantastic.

Only problem was we had a few issues with printing errors: extra pages, or blank pages. It was a small percentage of issues, but it was there.

To be honest, I used comixpress to print up the first issue of my series NEL, and I wasn't really happy with the service. I've never received payment for copies sold online, and their response time can take forever. Also, I ordered a few different titles from their shop last year, and when I got them in the mail (again, took forever), they were the wrong books- not one single copy of what I actually ordered was in the shipment.

So, I say stick with ka-blam. They've been nothing but good to me (even after I accidentally crashed their servers  last year).
