Just got back from the new Harry Potter. I thought the move was just okay. It had a weird pacing to me.

Even the thought that I had typed that almost made me auto-asphyxiate myself. "It's better to flame out (*twirl*) than fade away, man! (*punches air*)" Though I've got to admit that seeing Sean Connery run down the beach in his little red suit, barefoot, gave me some lovely erotic dreams.

The Queen soundtrack alone makes that movie awesome.

http://www.stophcommerce.com/Finally all parts are out and I really think, that this should be required viewing for everyone who uses the internet. And before I finished Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, which was near pitch perfect of an mecha anime with incredible visuals. Next up: The original prisoner series, Watchmen and some japanese flicks.

MST3K: The Prince of Space. Thank heaven for Google video. There are tons of full episodes of this show. This Japanese cosmic-hero gibberish is a blast. "I like it very much!"

Been on a Tolkien kick lately (I blame podcasts -- the root of all evil, they are ). So I'm watching LOTR: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING (Extended edition) while I work.

Has anybody seen the Tomb of Dracula Japanese animated film that's loosely based on the Marvel series? Wondering if it's worth sacrificing some of my precious ratio to acquire it.

I just finished the Invincible Iron Man animated movie and thought it was pretty good. I didn't care to watch it for the longest time because I heard so many bad reviews. And honestly, it was a decent flick to kill an afternoon with.
Don't always believe what you hear. Try it yourself first, that is the lesson I learned today.

Very drunk... Just watched Squid and the Whale, good but not great.
And after that I watched Smoking Aces... Not very good if you are drunk, complex story with very little payoff.
That is what I have been watching, and you?
Oh, I have been starring at How I meet your mom season One. And have started watching Sopranos, in my quest to watch every good American tv-show, ever....

Don't worry. It's not that good when you're sober, either.

Funny People
The first 2/3rds of the movie is fantastic, then the pacing goes all herky jerky and it lurches it's way to the finish. Really good overall. None of the funny stuff is in the trailers (in fact, most of the dialogue in the trailers isn't in the movie).

I watched Superman Returns for the first time last night. I have just never got around to watching. I have been close a few times but never quite had the urge. Until last night. OMG! What happened! I was so disappointed and just had a feeling of...BLEH! Just a real nothing sort of movie and the whole Superman has a kid thing. No thanks. Not happy at all.
