Just watched Alive in Joburg, the short film which District 9 is based off on. Really engaging and thought provoking movie and almost reminded me of that similar experience when I saw Children of Men. Amazing film but depressing and bleak. I've posted the short film under "VIDEOS" if anyone wants to see it.

I just watched the season last episode of Season 3 of Battlestar Galactica for the first time.   Holy crap, this show is good!  I've been blowing through the DVDs recently.  The sound is always good on BSG but the way the soundtrack built up in the last couple episodes of the season was freaking brilliant.  And now literally anything can happen.  Damn show makes me want to jump for joy.  Boogie

I can't compete with Dr. Manhattan. I'll never get her...
I mean, she's hot, really hot. But Dr. Manhattan and the Izzy Steven's dead guy...

Keeping with my "Hackers" theme, I watched a Documentary about real hackers. It's called "Hackers Are People Too" from 2008. I found it quite interesting.

District 9 does look good. I love when they do a realistic version of "Aliens", it just makes it more intense.

Sweet! It was some time ago since I watched, but if my memory doesn't fail me, I seemed to like the lava spitting transvestite...
Ah, and if you're still rockin' the hackers theme, then watch http://www.stophcommerce.com/ . It's pretty interesting how the real everyday life is connected to hackers.

Did you saw the trailer for Fantastic Mr. Fox?

I looked this up and I really want to watch this now.  I hate Big Brother and everybody that's ever on it, so I would love to see them eaten by zombies.

I watched Doubt tonight.  Thought provoking.  Great acting.

I rewatched "Tropic Thunder", and enjoyed it just as much if not more than the first time I saw it.  I highly recommend!.  Also, if you are so inclined, watch the Actors commentary with Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr.  RDJ does the entire commentary IN CHARACTER!

Caught the first episode of a new History Channel series called Clash of the Gods. It looks like they're going to focus on one deity each episode. You can see the premiere, Zeus, HERE. I loved this. I'm a mythology/folklore junkie and I loved the weird LotR/300 kind of visuals they used to show Tyhpon, the Hundred-Handers, and Cyclopes who battled with Zeus against Cronos and the titans. Recommended!

Yeah, I've seen the Zeus one, and already have the Hercules on DVR. Very entertaining way to tell the stories of Myth. I REALLY hope they will do the Norse Gods. Thumbs Up

A friend of mine just came over and gave me the 2-disk Directors Cut of Watchmen. He and his fiance thought the movie was a little to "advanced" for them, and they know I'm into comics.

It's awesome when people just give you comics related stuff, because your the comic guy. Rock Horns

If it ain't Steve Reeves (or even Alan Steele), it ain't Hercules.
