EDIT: Oh, and a quick word of warning: the song at the end of the pilot is the theme song for the show, which is truly awful and poppy and gets stuck in your head all the time until you want to jump in front of a bus to escape that noise. My advice is to ride the mute button hard whenever the theme song comes on.
I know, you know, that I'm not telling the truth!

Cool... I think you'll dig it, then. James Roday sells every line like his life depends on it, and his charisma really carries the show for me. Dule Hill is really good and understated as his foil/business partner/best friend, too.

Psych gets better every season. Especially with the theme shows they do now (like the Twin Peaks episode last season, or the Hitchcock one before that.). It's all about the characters. And the 80's pop culture references. I don't think that the show would be as good without Dule Hill. He's my favorite part. It's true that the pilot is not a good song, but I like that they can play with that too, changing it to fit a theme.

Currently going through the first two seasons of Community with my girlfriend, and we're both loving it. Best comedy show since Party Down.

Zapped!I subjected my wife to this movie last night. She was flabbergasted. She had no idea there was a movie wherein Chachi telekinetically made girls' tops fly off. I keep bringing her down to my level! They just added this to Netflix streaming right after I used some of my precious credits to get it elsewhere.

having an itch for some anime lately, mostly because its been popping up a bit around here, tonight I watched Summer Wars. Seriously awesome stuff. Most enjoyable thing I have seen in a while. The animation is awesome too. Highly recommend it. Edit: A trailer is worth a thousand words.
http://www.youtube.com/v/5h0IMCezKYI&rel=1Just watched Summer Wars, in Japanese with English subtitles. I enjoyed it quite a bit but it probably isn't made for everyone. Some things happened a little too quickly or easily in the movie but I was enjoying it so I chose to gloss over those aspects of the movie. Karma and thanks for the recommendation.

Currently going through the first two seasons of Community with my girlfriend, and we're both loving it. Best comedy show since Party Down. It's an excellent (and very ambitious) show. Last night, I watched The Whole Wide World, a movie about the relationship between teacher Novalyne Price and Robert E. Howard. It's not a Howard biopic but it IS a good film, made more enjoyable if you're familiar with Howard's writing. Vincent D'Onofrio plays Howard and Renée Zellweger plays Price. The film was made in 1996 but I'd never even heard of it until a 2 weeks ago! It's based on a memoir by Novalyne Price. I recommend it. Jim

The D&D episode is the best one ever!! It's right up there but the paintball episode from season one is still my favorite. They're both solid gold. Jim

On a related note I saw Mystery Team on netflix. It stars Danny Glover. It's hilarious when little kids cuss.

I was excited about the D&D episode, but it wasn't as great as I had hoped (still good though). The paintball episode is still the best, followed closely by the conspiracy episode (especially the blanket town).

Watched Drunken Master 2. Sadly, it was the dubbed/cut version although it was nice to see Chan doing his own dubbing. This said, quite possibly one of the best kung fu films I've ever seen. While the macguffin keeps the plot ticking along, it's the fantastic choreography and set pieces that make the movie. I can't quite believe I haven't seen it before.
