This forum is the main place I find out about new music. Where do you all go to find out?
I assume that bands you're already privy to are followed at band websites, etc...
But how do you find NEW stuff?
I guess I should leave well enough alone and just rely on my EOC friends to continue on informing me. Yes
No one main source but I use the folllowing: NME (New Musical Express), Uncut Magazine, Mojo Magazine, The Guardian newspaper, Pitchfork and Wired. My favourite source is a sort of six degrees approach, where I'll see an album mentioned by another band I already like, talked about in an interview with an author/ comic creator, featured in a book/ film/ comic I really enjoyed. Oh and here obviously.

I look to some of your same sources. (Not Pitchfork, whose bitchiness I can't stomach.)  Other sites I hit where I often discover new-to-me artists are Brooklyn Vegan, Stereogum and the Music is My Boyfriend FB group.  I also have two close friends who musically are wired pretty much the same way I am and probably get more out of their recommendations than from anywhere else.

My Uncle used to sell old rock posters…and this one in particular (which he gave me), featuring three of my favorite bands hung on my wall growing up (think I still have it…probably buried somewhere), but awesome stuff regardless.

I love the way Jeff Ott switches from clean to more gravely vocals, often within the same line of a song or sometimes mid word.  I never had a chance to see Fifteen or even Jeff doing his solo stuff and certainly never had a chance to see Crimpshrine but would have loved to.  His music was a big influence on me.

The Radiators From Space - Ghostown

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/CT99OQ78_rc&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/CT99OQ78_rc&rel=1</a>

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/hkic_L9XSzk&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/hkic_L9XSzk&rel=1</a>

I spent part of my St. Patty's Day in a bar with top notch Irish indie tunes on the jukebox, including lots of SLF as well as "Television Screen" by these guys.  This is the second album from Philip Chevron's pre-Pogues outfit and it is a really good bridge between the basic punk of the Radiators' first album and the sound we later heard from  MacGowan and company.
