Quote
Let's see if we can get the story straight: Jesus' twin dies at birth, gets reincarnated as a time traveler and has some nightmarishly awesome H.P. Lovecraft-ian adventures along the way. No, this isn't the latest Christopher Moore novel, but rather the narrative behind De Vermis Mysteriis, the sixth album by the Bay Area hesh-hammers in High on Fire, out April 3. Guitarist and vocalist Matt Pike's concepts become more abstract with each record, and as a matter of course, the songs keep opening up in ways that once didn't seem possible.

NEW HIGH ON FIRE. Yes please. Love the concept and love what I'm hearing. Pike wins again.

Great, great album.

I am such a sucker for Les Mcann, let alone Yusef Lateef and Alphonze Mouzon.   Hearts

But beyond all that…that bass player he plays with now, Tal Wilkenfeld, not only is she hot, but she is awesome.

Paul Weller - Sonik Kicks

Probably the man's most eclectic album ever; a little strange hearing a Weller album kick off with a synth-pop riff.  My favorite tracks are the string driven "By the Waters" and the Specials-esque "Study in Blue".

11 O'Clock took most of my bus journeys/ walking today but just as I was coming home, I slammed on Goldie- Saturnz Return(disc 2). Pure, 90s snarling drum n bass with awesome sub-sonics and the occasional angelic vocal flourish. Worth seeking out (can probably be picked up for pennies and p&p on Amazon).

I can't stop playing the lead-off single from the new Killing Joke album.  I think it's tremendous!
