I have been listening to Rush all week. Thanks Vince. I started with A Farewell to Kings, moved on to Caress of Steel (I ended up playing Lakeside Park over and over), and then mixed it up with Fly by Night and Permanent Waves.
Sooo, Yeah I own every Rush Album they made from when they started the band to about 1986.....

Started watching that Top 100 hip hop songs countdown on VH1 last night. The ranking is absolute crap, but there are so many great songs. Currently downloading the 600 or so greatest hip hop songs (over 3 GB worth). Once complete I'm sure I'll whittle it down to 150 songs or so. Can't wait.

I'm on Ben Folds overload in anticipation of getting his new album tonight.
I'm currently listening to the Japanese import of Rockin' the Suburbs (completely worth it for "Hiro's Song"), and moving on to the S EPs next.

He's playing with our Philharmonic this Friday...we're seriously considering going...

I lost interest in BF after Suburbs. Probably more that my tastes changed than the quality of the work. (Although I LOVE his cover of Bitches Aint Shit). I loved BFF in high school and college. And I was usually the only fan. But I converted as many as I could.

He's playing with our Philharmonic this Friday...we're seriously considering going... He's playing October 11th in Green Bay along with Ben Harper, Death Cab for Cutie, Jewel and Ingrid Michaelson as part of a crappy music festival. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend. It's been too long since I've seen 'em. I lost interest in BF after Suburbs. Probably more that my tastes changed than the quality of the work. (Although I LOVE his cover of Bitches Aint Shit).

I wasn't a big fan of Songs for Silverman, but I think that some of those EPs he did were fantastic. I think that Sunny 16 may be the finest thing that he's ever recorded. I can definitely see where people would have lost interest in him, however.
