I get wicked crazy looks from those who appreciate the Clash when I tell them I think it's a better album than London Calling. All of their stuff is brilliant, but IMO Sandinista! has an odd spark not present on their other albums. |

I agree. Sandanista! has something special to it. A lot of the songs on their own are pretty weak, but listening to it as a whole and you can see everything that would come later, whether it's Strummer's solo stuff and the world music vibes or the experimentalism that Mick Jones would take into Big Audio Dynamite. |
