So I was at the local comics & card show today, Frank & Son for folks in SoCal.....
http://www.fs-collectibles.com/

I have been getting comics since 1972, and I've been getting some great deals over the years too during all my years, but I got the motherload of deals today.....

A guy I had bought from before has 50 cent bins.....a LOT of them.

2 weeks ago I bought about 50 comics, and he said "Just give me $20".  Good deal, right?

Today I was going through the bins, finding a lot of stuff.  He mentions that he had just bought a collection of 190 long boxes and needed to dump off comics fast.  I already had a stack of about 80 comics when he told me I could have a short box full for $12!!!!!  (But I had to provide my own box).

A guy a few booths down sells short boxes for $3.  I got one and started filling it.  2 hours later, I have a full box (at the end I threw in a handful of Batman comics for my son's friend who is getting into comics & likes the character) just to pad out the box.

So, $15 for the box & the comics.  I just counted them.  None were bagged & boarded so a lot more fit in the box than if they had been.

232 comics!!!!

.....for $15.

That's about 6.5 cents each.

That is really sweet.  I am sure many of the comics are really fun reads.  I really cannot wait to finally get to some cons or visit a store that has a good sale going on and experience something like this.  I would definitely jump all over that opportunity.

Awesome deal, Bob!

See any Gold Digger in those boxes? Back issues are nowhere to be found in my area. Even Mycomicshop doesn't have the ones I need...

Man, I'm jealous.  And I thought I hit the motherload at the DCBS booth last year at Wizard World Chicago.  Great find!  I hope you found some good ones.

Some of the things I got.....

About 40 issues of Exiles from 17 - 60 (good stuff by Judd Winick & Tony Bedard)
a bunch of the Devil's Due D&D comics (even some of the "deluxe" ones with cover prices around $9!!)
a bunch of Battlestar Galactica comics from Dynamite
Son of Vulcan mini from DC
Drax mini from Marvel
7 different "Solo" comics from DC (incl. the Paul Pope one!)  These were $5 a pop new!
Richard Dragon mini
a bunch of issues of Loveless & the Losers from Vertigo
Powerless mini from Marvel
various Anita Blake comics from Marvel/Dabel
various Authority/Kev comics

Many more.  Some really good, some maybe not so great, but certainly worth 6 cents  Thumbs Up

Also, lots of books I had never seen before and just looked cool

Well played!

Those Loveless and Losers and Solo issues are worth it alone!
