The chest cutout on her uniform really puts the ensemble over the top...  What was the design justification for that, to be distracting to her opponents?

Listen to the bit...  the design justification was to mimic the Malice costume.  Simple as that.

Listening to that bit, my dear Steve Raker, leads me to believe that somebody has themselves a nice, red-blooded, chest-thumping appreciation for a bit o' the kink!  WHOOOO!  Now I know what was a'happening in the Raker household 7 1/2 months ago!!  Broke out the shiny white thigh-highs for the Mrs., ayyyyy me boyo?!  23-SKIDOOOOO!!!  "chicken inspector--!"

My objection is only that of all the characters in the Marvel U, Susan Richards was the one I could count on for stability and warmth.  She's been a mother since 1968.  I like mothers.  I like what they represent.  Home and love.  I've always seen Sue, not as a mouse or "the distaff member" but as a woman with home values and character who was swept up in a bunch of powers and galactic stakes.  The only reason I've thought that she stayed with Reed was because she wasn't threatened by his intellect at all.  She could(n't) care less.  because that's not her domain.  Her domain is the affairs of the heart.  She takes care of what Reed can't take care of.  Emotions.  Reed can create a time platform for them to travel to the midwest, but Sue can create a home full of love where Reed can feel safe when he lays his head to the pillow.

In other words, I've never needed Sue to break out in a bikini and show the world her Brazilian wax job.  So I'm REALLY happy this costume was a clear indication of something that was wrong and twisted with her personality rather than the norm.  And since that's what it was, I can't help but say--GGGGYYYAAAHHHHHH!  Put some CLOTHES on woman!!!!
