I'm not a big follower of wrestling, usually when i get home from work there is a replay of one of the weekly shows on so sometimes I have it on but don't pay a huge amount of attention but have a vauge idea of main storylines.  Over here (uk) the bigger events (wrestlemania, summerslam etc) are PPV but ones like money in the bank are not, after reading a article on the CM punk story over at grantland.com i took much more interest in it and watched the replay of money in the bank last night and loved the main event.... Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in  Cheesy

I've been haphazardly watching wrestling more and more the past couple weeks, thanks to this thread, and I have a question...

Is CM Punk actually going to leave the company?  As in real life leave?  I've been assuming that it's all just part of the show but some people here seem to be implying that he's actually leaving.
His contract had legitimately finished a few days before the PPV, but he signed an extension for a few days so that he could work the show. As far as anyone is saying, he has NOT signed a new contract and left the company with the belt.

However, I think he signed a new contract and is just taking some time off. That's why he still has the belt and why he keeps taking pictures of it everywhere. I don't know for sure, but that is my feeling on the whole thing.

I may be completely wrong but my guess is that Punk is indeed taking some time off and that he signed an extension to come back at some point in the not so far future otherwise this whole thing wouldn't have been turned into a wrestling scenario.

(woops Derek beat me to it!  Guess that what happens when you prepare breakfast for the kids before pressing "post"  Embarrassed)

I just hope Punk doesn't lose his momentum by the time he comes back.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, CM Punk crashed the WWE panel at SDCC today.  I love it!

Very interesting article on the best entrances/themes in pro wrestling by Bill Simmons. Don't know about you guys, but I hadn't catched what CM Punk screamed during his entrance at MITB until watching the video in the article.  Let's just say it's very "à propos"  Rock Horns

Chris Daniels, Kazarian and Eric Young wrestling @ SDCCI as Magneto, Captain America and Batman respectively (no Kazarian Cap pic though):

Also, here are some pics with Daniels with some original art done on those Marvel blank cover comics:

More CM Punk goodness!

First, another angle of the CM Punk confrontation @ SDCCI:

Last night, RAW won!

When Cena won, I was all "Fuck the WWE" and then when Cult of Personality kicked in, I told my wife that if CM Punk showed up, it would be the greatest shit ever. And it was.

I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately, but I came across this and thought you might get a laugh.

That was awesome. That little girl sells better than 9/10ths of the WWE Divas. I loved how Kenny Omega got such a good match out of her. Damn, they were both working very stiff in that match. I think that's what made it so good.

Not actual wrestling news, but I was @ FanExpo this year, and on Friday I saw this:

Someone actually dressed as El Generico!  My cousin and I (and the vendor in the background) lost it when we saw this guy.  The outfit was perfect.
