And I highly recommend using Twitter during a con to "monitor communications" and catch a large lunch outing, etc.
Sadly, I was in Canada, so my data plan was out of commission. I felt like a fish out of water! Where do I get me one of these fine t-shirts?

Last few cons I was at we used a smart phone app called "Touch" to stay in contact with one another.

I've seen quite a few guys with EOC t-shirts.  And some people use their avatar, and I've had people come up to me because of that.  But the key is to find one person, and most likely there will be more nearby  Wink

At c2e2 it was commented that it was nice my avatar looks like me.  I dig that

Right there with you.  Lack of data made everything more painful than it needed to be.  Although you could use the MTCC wireless connection.  Sometimes.

I'm planning on attending the smaller con in March.  We'll have to set something up ahead of time, especially since at this point my usual con-going buddy is not planning on going so I would be more free to spend time at the actual con.

Love the idea of doing a matching jam piece for next year... Maybe I will just have to go with Justice League villains.

And I'm totally up for a meetup next time.

I can't see the pieces you had done - the image links don't seem to work.

Jacobi fixed them in his post.

I know I should have posted these images earlier but I been pretty busy of late but in my opinion I prefer of elements of design to my jam pieces. My first jam piece was an Avengers jam piece.  I designed the "A"  and let the artist go to town!  It was Jun Bob Kim idea to have the floating head inside the "A"

My second Jam Piece "Batman Family and Villians" is WIP.

Batman is by Norm Breyfogle
Nightwing by Mike Norton
Catwoman by Amanda Conner
Two-Face by Gabriel Hardman
Batwoman by a local Dallas favorite Robert Wilson IV

Thanks for pointing that out.  Those are some nice jams.  You were much busier than I was.  If I ever get motivated I'll get my stuff scanned and posted.

I love the design element of these.  This is how I would want to do a Jam.  I might start designing an X-Men layout for next season.

Those are awesome pieces. I actually thought about trying something like that (testing my skills to draw something of the old League of Justice from the Superfriends) but I decided to keep it simple for the first one.

With all the unusually sized squares, is it more difficult to get artists to fit them in, or price the sketches for that matter?

Nicely done, Travis!   I like the "cover" style designs.

Showoff.  Wink Love 'em! Your Man-Thing makes me want to take a sharpie to mine and black it out. I have Man-Thing envy. Euphemism? Maybe.
Hey, do you guys post these somewhere else in the forum as you're having them done? I'd like to put mine up as they're completed.

I saw Travis' piece in person in Seattle  Shifty Eyes

And they're fantastic.  I have no creativity, hence the boring squares for me.
