If Justin Timberlake is cast as Hal Jordan, I will never watch another DC Comics movie again. The guy is not that bad of an actor. The fact is he is like The Rock, he has no business being that good of an actor, but he is. This movie isn't going to be the dark knight. Its going to be more like Iron Man. Its going to be a fun, funny acrion movie. Timberlake can pull that off.

Justin Timberlake should stick to his "music" career. Doing a couple of SNL sketches and horribly playing a horrible character in the Guru(crap) does not make him an actor. Maybe if the movie was about a white dude trying to be ghetto he'd be a good choice.
Bradley Cooper seems the best choice he somewhat has the Hal look and he's a good actor when he's playing a prick.

Variety reports the following Ryan Reynolds is "The" Green Lantern.http://weblogs.variety.com/bfdealmemo/2009/07/ryan-reynolds-is-the-green-lantern.htmlRyan Reynolds has landed the coveted role of Green Lantern, getting the starring role in Warner Bros.' live-action film based on the DC Comics hero.
Martin Campbell will direct. The studio is still working on the pictures budget, but production is expected to begin in January.
The news caps off a memorable summer for Reynolds, who played Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a performance that prompted Fox to begin development on a spinoff film. Reynolds followed that by starring opposite Sandra Bullock in the romantic comedy The Proposal, which crossed the $100 million mark this week.
Warners and Campbell chose Reynolds, who vied for the superhero role along with The Hangover star Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto. The momentum built for Reynolds in the last week, as he was the only actor whose option was extended. Click link to read more. So not only is he the Merc with a Mouth, but he's gonna be Green Lantern. Playing my favorite characters from each of the Big 2

Kirsten Dunst isn't a redhead and she made a sh*tty movie redhead. Alba made a sh*tty blonde. Why not pick from the THOUSANDS of other actors who are of the same approximate age and equally talented who actually look like the character they're playing? Just my opinion.

I've never seen her work so i can't comment, and does hollywood always get it right? hell no, and trust me, i work for the dickheads from time to time, but no one sets out to make a bad movie, Hollywood is not as simple as these are 100% our perfect actors, now go get them. so many factors go into who you can use it often does become a shortened list from who to pick from. do they get it right, not always. but every know and then we do get surprised

i was at my moms for thanksgiving and in the basement they have all my wizards from when i was a kid. my favorite part was when the filled the movie roles. as far as making a movie id care less about looks and more about talent as an actor/ress

That is awful, awful casting. Piled on top of Ryan Reynolds my interest in this movie is declining rapidly. Contrast this with the marvel movies and how each decision seems to add to the excitement.

I think DC is trying to make a strategic move to bring kids my age (16) into the movie theater. If I walk into highschool and start talking about a cool new movie based on a comic book where a guy fights a purple alien, no one is going to give two shits. If i start talking about a movie with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, kids are going to listen. I've never seen the show, but the girls i talk to can't get enough of Gossip Girl. I think DC is hoping they get more people in the seats.
