I loved X-Factor until they did Secret Invasion crap.  Then I dropped it.  And thankfully I did so I didn't get dragged into another X-Men mega event.  But up until that point, pure gold

You missed out. I think it was 2 issues, maybe 3? After that point I'd say they kicked right back into pure gold territory again.

Although I will say that the really disappointing part of that tie in was the not so triumphant return of Larry Stroman. I used to love his stuff, but the years away, they weren't kind.

Anybody read the last couple issues yet?  Thoughts?
I'm not sure what Peter David is up to here…but man, he is putting Madrox through the ringer

Read it for sure! It's my favorite Marvel title and is the reason I got back into comics. The Secret Invasion stuff was rough but it is important for the rest of the series.

I used to always worry that this comic was perpetually on the chopping block (probably still is, probably always will be) but I'm pretty sure Marvel has forgotten about it completely.

I imagine Peter David and Leonard Kirk banging this shit out each month in the bowels of Marvel HQ like Phantom of the Opera or something.

It is what it is…and I couldn't be happier about it.

It's the only Marvel book with a steady roster. It's also refreshing that the writer doesn't change every few years. This is the only X book that gives you that old school soap opera feel.

I dropped every X Book but the Factor after Messiah Complex. I will read this book until I'm dead as long as Peter David continues to write it.

100% agree. Told PAD to his face once that if they cancelled xfactor then I was done reading comics. Was true when I said it. Not so true now since I have branched much farther out from super heroes since I said that.  Xfactor is a fantastic book that actually has character devopment over a substantial period of time. Interesting to see what happens with havok being a central character in Uncanny Avengers now. Haven't had that issue in xfactor since I've been reading it.
