Anyone know of a solid cheap app for the iPad that i can take notes on? The key feature I want is to be able the type out info/thoughts on the iPad while I'm in transit and then copy/paste them to Word or Quark files on my computer. Thanks a bunch for the time/help. the Tiki  |

Those are Microsoft Word compatible... Yes, in the sense that iA Writer's files are in the .TXT format which can be edited in Word, but Notepad is fine. |

Sorry if its already been mentioned but Display Link is a nice iPad app if you want a second (or third or whatever) monitor for your Windows PC (Macs aren't supported yet). http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads_ipad.phpYou'll need to install the driver onto your PC and both the PC and the iPad have to be connected to the network (I think) and that's it. Pretty simple and painless. I was considering getting a spare monitor but at least I can use the iPad for now. Got the last nest on Tiny Wings but I can't reach the 10th island. |

Anyone else tried the Planetary music app. Turns all your albums into planets and solar systems. OH MY GOD THIS ROCKS. Added benefit, it plays a song without splashing the album picture up and telling everybody sitting next to me on the train that I'm listening to Ke$ha. #dontjudgeme But it's so beautiful!! The songs are moons around the album-planet, and play progress displays as a trail tracking the satellite orbit. And even better, the Artist(s) is a STAR! BRIGHT!! You could use it as a light source!! |
