Sorry, man. in my town, probably yours as well their are places that can repair the screen. for around a 100. but thats cheaper than the $600 apple wants for a new phone. your phone store might be able to tell you the location of them.

Good luck if you try to get it repaired. Or if that's not possible, maybe just sell it and get some money to go towards your replacement phone. Do you have any idea how it happened? I thought the glass they use is pretty tough.

Damn thing was in a case and everything, and no, I wasn't even drunk.
if you're handy with tools and/or electronics, try fixing it yourself. they sell iphone 4 screens in ebay complete with appropriate tools. or you could try the iphone repair services listed (about $80). or you could sell it for parts. -mike

Thanks guys, I've been down this road before. Ironically I listed my ancient gen 1 on eBay last week, it's screen was cracked as wel and the battery life is shot,, and sold it for 50. Found a repair place for 60 bucks online today. A ten dollar wash will be well worth it. But damn, so close to the warranty covering it. Maybe a clumsy oaf like me is one of those that should splurge on apple care. Do you have any idea how it happened? I thought the glass they use is pretty tough.
No idea. Went and ran some errands, reached in my coat pocket and pulled it out and it was shot. All I can think is that it hit my counter just right when I tossed my jacket on it.

I believe that all these are replaced by the same Gen 1 models. Sneaky Apple.

Even if they just replaced the battery, I'll be happy. The battery on mine would last about 30 mins.

Am I missing something (or am I misunderstanding a feature)? So I own Apple TV and an Apple laptop. I thought (with Airplay) I could stream a DVD playing on my laptop to my TV via Apple TV. I know I can do it with youtube videos... Am I doing something wrong or am I just giving the feature more credit than it deserves? the Tiki

I am rather impressed by the screen shots for the game, but what's so rad about Infinity Blade II?

It takes what should be on a Xbox 360 and makes it work on an Iphone. The process of leveling up is actually fun, and not a chore because the battles are enjoyable to play and replay. The combat system takes the use of finger swiping to the next level. It's very immersive, and has more of a plot (well it has A plot... it's overly mysterious) then most iphone games. Sound design is a beauty as well. With the exception of very few games like Super Brothers, Dead Space, the Spidey Game, to name a few. I feel that IOS games are just time killers to rack up points while on the bus or waiting in the doctors office. Infinity Blade got it's hooks in me, I couldn't put it down. I wanted to learn more about the mysterious castle and the bloodline of the man's shoes I was in. I'm not the best guy on selling people on games, I hardly play them. But in this case I knew I was playing something special.

I had a few news aggregators on my iPad and iPhone and find myself using Pulse for both a lot more, though I do like the esthetics of Flipboard on the iPad -- how are you liking the interface on the iPhone?
