Played Guitar Hero on the Wii for the first time Friday night (I think it was GH III).  Man, was that fun!  The wife nailed Social D's "The Story of My Life" on the first try!   Rock Horns  I didn't do as hot, but seem to be fairly solid on bass in support of her.   Smiley  Think this is going to have to go on the wish list.

Anyone else playing this?  Seems like it could be habit forming.

Um...though that isn't me playing but I have watched this video at least once so I feel pretty confident I could handle it.  Whistle

I only wish Rock Band Wii was going to have online multiplayer and downloadable content....  No

that video is sick... I had enough trouble beating it on easy level (heh)... I plan on starting medium soon though. I have it for PS3... such a fun game though definitely addicting. I am convinced it is easier to play a real guitar (and I do).

It's not going to have those features?  Damn.  Now I need to somehow convince my wife that we need to buy an XBOX 360.

As for GH, every time my friend buys a version of the game I end up playing more of it than he does.  Right now I'm working my way through the "Hard" on GH3.  Can't get past Knights of Cydonia right now, but I'm trying...

Yeah, it'll be basically just like the PS2 version.  But with a few more songs:

Quote from: 1UP.com
In case you're wondering, here are the five extra songs included on the disc: "Roxanne" by The Police, "Don't Look Back In Anger" by Oasis, "Roam" by The B-52s, "My Dirty Little Secret" by The All-American Rejects, and "Rockaway Beach" by The Ramones. If you've been keeping up with the downloadable content for the PS3 and 360 versions, you'll notice that all of these songs have already been released, so there's no need to whine about how the Wii's getting songs you can't play in the other versions. While it's cool to have these five extra songs, it's a major bummer that the Wii version of Rock Band will not have online play or downloadable content.

Ha! Totally off-topic in my own off-topic thread, but karma to Papercut for not only using one of those great "Classics in Lego" pics as his avatar, but also for adding the Equinox comment associated with it!

I have Guitar Hero 1, 2, 3, and Rocks the 80s on the PS2.  Such an awesome, awesome game.  Guitar Hero 2 is probably my favorite game of 2006/2007.  Now, I've moved on to Rock Band since Sarah doesn't like the guitar, but is great on drums so we can play the game together.   Thumbs Up

I've gotten all the Guitar Hero games through the years, but I've officially jumped ship to Rock Band. I'll follow Harmonix pretty much anywhere they go (I've been playing Harmonix games since Frequency for the PS2), and I think Neversoft taking over the Guitar Hero franchise is going to continue to follow the track of Guitar Hero 3 and go for outright difficulty instead of fun factor. Through the Fire is a perfect example of that to me.

Wow.  I didn't understand a word you said there.  Karma to you for posting a paragraph that I know is in English but that is beyond my comprehension.  I'm afraid my generation gap is showing.  Embarrassed

I've heard Rock Band is fun, too.  Isn't GH4 going to have drums and singing?

I suck out loud at these new interactive games. Like Dance, Dance Revolution? Fell off the platform.  Sad
