But the man gave us Clerks and the great line "try not to suck anymore dicks on the way to the parking lot" so I forgive him.

And really ... isn't that the kind of advice we all can use?   Roll On Floor Laughing

For me, it was a mess.

I dig Onomatopoeia and I like when a creator gets to work on his creation, but this...  it didn't please me.

I'm with you.  I don't even know that I got all the way through the first issue.  All three are downstairs, but I just don't have the interest to get them.  And I was a huge Kevin Smith fan for a long time.  In fact, I still love his movies.

This just didn't grab me at any point beyond the solicit copy.  Of course he picks this series to get done on time, so I have to buy all three issues, because they've all been ordered.

Half-way through the episode and enjoying it!

I agree with you, Vince, on the acid-like aspect of Van Sciver's art these days, for all the reasons you mentioned like hyperdetailing, but even way moreso than Perez's detailed art because Van Sciver's is more bold and 'hard', with the contrast jacked way up to exaggerated levels...it's not like a hallucination, but replicating more the way one's senses are overly sharpened/distorted.

Okay, so I'm behind on listening, but I just put this on the headphones and was enjoying a nice cup of coffee when I heard Tom's "woo-hoo" and nearly sprayed my desk and everything on it with a mouthful of coffee.  Off to a good start!
