I hope this makes people go back and look at his earlier stuff. I've just ordered the first Fear Agent trade myself.

IMO, Remender's creator-owned stuff is FAR superior to what he is doing for Marvel.

* Strange Girl
* Fear Agent
* Sea of Red
* The End League
* Gigantic
* Last Days of American Crime

I'm inclined to agree with part of this, but not Sea of Red and Gigantic. IMO they are far from Rick's best work, they do not top X-Force by a long shot.

I just wanted a place to link those pretty JRJR pages...

Some pages from Cap.

This is the kind of JR JR I love. When the guy isn't rushed, he tells a story like no other.

Reread JR JR's Wolverine work on Enemy of the State a few weeks ago. The man can draw fast-paced action like no other.
Kind off ironic that I love his work so much--as most of my other favorites keep my eyes glued to a page or panel for longer--but there really is something to be said for his ability to move a story.

That's encouraging. JR JR kind of became the more unknown factor on that book for me.

All a matter of opinion.  Given that I cannot stomach pretty much any of Marvel's X-franchise, and I liked both Sea of Red & Gigantic, I feel differently.

I tried Remender's X-force on 2 separate occasions.  Didn't do anything for me either time.
