I think he was inspired while baiting a hook.
"Hmmm... earthworms might make a cool armor motif..."
Jim
That sounds like more of an Ant-man thing.

Ben's broken a lot of stuff over the years....this time it's the 'fourth wall' as Marvel pokes fun at itself!

Oh....that's disturbing. Now I'm picturing What if Quagmire from Family Guy was Mr. Fantastic?

I haven't been keeping track but if it is I don't mind it. It's only up from here.

Oh I agree! I wasn't a big fan of Heroes Reborn, but when the titles relaunched back in the good old 616 universe, everything felt fresh and fun again. It was a good time to be reading FF.

I'm the opposite of whirlwindX on this one....I see the Claremont/Larrocca era as a snowballing downward slide for 30 issues of muddy prose and visial storytelling until Pacheco's much appreciated short palate-cleaning run and then Waid/Wieringo's arrival.

Why are we always fighting about the Fantastic Four? I find it kind of hilarious. I love all the comments and discussions the panels bring Just wait until we get to Marvel Girl and Dr. Doom that's quite a bit of awesomeness there. You know what I wasn't entirely sold on in this era? Their base. While I liked it I think the tower was more memorable but it's had way more stories too so maybe that's not fair.
