Not a text from Pat, but a quote from someone some love to hate and something that's probably at home in this thread (maybe):

Sounds like the kind of reflective comment that someone makes right before they step down.  Joe may be stepping down as EiC but not leaving Marvel (remember, he just received a new titlehead in Marvel's animation division).  that's right I said it, Joe Q. is stepping down for new challenges.

Am I crazy... or am I right?!  We'll find out ....
