If you are an independent comics creator, step on up and tell us about your creations. Post pictures, links, synopses, contact information, incriminating photos of David, whatever it takes to get your stuff seen. The more eyes, the merrier.

Come on, Steve, Dave, Pat, etc. Slap some images on this puppy.  Rock Horns

Hey guys,

Here's the low-down on my book, The Contingent, along with a three page preview. At the bottom of the preview there are links to my Comic Space, MySpace, and First Light. The First Light link has character break downs, a synopsis, and the same three page preview.

After being forced from his Bolivian home to America, young Miguel
Francisco is immediately plunged into making important decisions about
his life. Decisions that will not only affect him, but the lives of
his new friends and potentially the world. Will he side with the man
who wants to make him a god? Or will he embrace the harder path and
the often inevitable costs of doing the right thing?

Set in a world where superpowers, mechanical apes, and genetically
altered monsters are the order of the day, The Contingent explores not
just the superficial ideas of superheroics and right versus wrong, but
the motivations behind them.

Written by Zack Kruse and penciled by Zeu (The Phantom, Cloudburst,
Prjoect Elohim). Colors are by Javi Laparra with lettering by Chris Studabaker.

Feedback is always welcome! Thanks for taking a look

I'm not the Dave you're talking about and I've already directed everyone to my little creation over in the Bullpen, but I'll jump in here and say I'm now at ComicSpace and am planning to add a few pages tangentially related to Misadventures entitled "Where the Spider-Villains Are". It's a Spoof on Sendack's "Where the Wild Things Are". I'm currently working on adding pages to Misadventures as well and will continue to post them in the Bullpen as I finish.
I've just started a new short strip as well. Here's the first pic:

As an ancillary comment, for those of you who have not seen it, we have a really cool new program over at DCBS called First Light, that is still in it's infancy but is designed to showcase indy books and creators. In phase 2 or 3, it will make their books for sale through the site--regardless of whether their book is listed in Previews.

Also, if you are an indy creator and you cannot get your book in Previews, DCBS will be happy carry it. All you ever need to do is shoot us an e-mail. We are always happy to work with small press guys.

Here is the link for First light for those who may be interested: http://www.dcbservice.com/firstlight_about.aspx

Now, THAT'S what I'm TALKIN' 'BOUT!

That is a FANTASTIC idea! Exactly the type of thing that can HELP rather than hinder the proliferation of independently-created comics.

Kudos to Cameron and everyone involved with this program. Speaking for myself, if Cameron would like to provide a sentence or two detailing the concept, I'd be more than happy to promote the program on every episode.

Andy and evaD, I'm really loving both of your art! You guys have way too much talent and need to share some of that with the rest of us.   Wink Zack, that story looks very cool!  I will be stopping by DCBS and checking that out.

I'm Steve. I'm the artist/creator of a title called Athena Voltaire for Ape Comics. With our new releases (coming in early 2009), I'll be taking on the mantle of writer, as well.

We were nominated for an Eisner Award in 2005 (Best Digital Comic) for our webstrip and I was honored with a nomination for the Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award in 2007 for my work on our first mini-series, Flight of the Falcon.

Here's a preview of Flight of the Falcon:

Trade paperback collections of both books are available from Diamond with the following codes:

The Collected Webcomics
MAY083589
Flight of the Falcon MAY083588

There's an  18-page preview of the Webcomics   available at ComicSpace and a 45-page preview of FoF there, too.

Thanks, Gawainn! I apologize for the delay. Paul Daly and I have had a parting of the ways—the time leading up to that decision caused the MASSIVE delay in our publishing schedule.

I'm back on track now and working on the early 2009 relaunch. Here's a peek:

That's weird.  Just last week, I thought of you as the guy who should have been doing Indiana Jones and The Tomb Of The Gods.   Thinking
