If you are an independent comics creator, step on up and tell us about your creations. Post pictures, links, synopses, contact information, incriminating photos of David, whatever it takes to get your stuff seen. The more eyes, the merrier.

Come on, Steve, Dave, Pat, etc. Slap some images on this puppy.  Rock Horns

I'm excited to share with you guys the first six pages of my book with writer Steve Earnhart. The book will be available at the Goodbum Studios booth (Small Press P07) in the San Diego Comic-Con next week, and copies should also be available at WW Chicago a couple weeks later.

"West Beverly Hills High School football star, bully, and all-around creep Nick Nason thought he had it all going into senior year; scholarship offers were coming in, the hottest chicks were lining up, and he was feared and respected by all the right people.  It's always something we didn't even realize was missing that completes us, though, so when Nick wakes up after a particularly brutal night of partying and brawling to discover he somehow got super powers, he knows that his life has truly just begun.  Will he change his ways and use these newfound gifts for the betterment of mankind?

Hell no.

He's gonna be baddest super villain who ever lived.

Brought to you by Writer Steve Earnhart (Hard-Bullied Comics) and Artist Pat Loika (Path to Armageddon), the villainy starts here!"

Thanks for checking us out!

As we get rolling, we've got lots of plans for extras on the website in addition to the comic, so stay tuned.

Hey everyone!

To those who don't know, I self-publish comics under the banner of PKD Media.

So far, we've got three books out and some more coming soon. They are as follows:

Mercury & The Murd: The Collected Edition

This comic collects the entire "Cosplay Order of Doom" storyline and is a perfect jump-on point for readers who want to know how the best "buddy-cops" came to be!

Features artwork by Chad Cicconi & Dave Dwonch, with pinups by Stephen "Flint Lockjaw" Reid, Andrew Charipar, Julian Lytle, and Katie Cook! Written by Shawn Pryor.

PKD Media Presents - Volume 1

Mercury & The Murd are back! And this time, they got some company with them! PKD Media Presents continues the adventures of Mercury & The Murd in a "Super-Sized Story" along with five additional stories!

Features artwork by Chad Cicconi, Daniel J Logan, Andrew Charipar, Scott Bradley, and Dave Wachter. Front Cover by Jim Miller and Kevin Volo. Stories written by Shawn Pryor.

Exo-1 & The Rock Solid Steelbots - Issue #0 (Special Edition)

This book contains the first story ever printed by PKD Media, which serves as a prequel to the events that continue in PKD Media Presents: Volume 1! It also has bios of the Exo-1 universe as well.

All three of these books are available at Indyplanet.com, and hopefully in the next few months they'll be available in other formats on pkdmedia.com.

Mercury & The Murd: The Collected Edition

PKD Media Presents: Volume 1

Exo-1 & The Rock Solid Steelbots - Issue #0 (Special Edition)

You can also read the Mercury & The Murd "Cosplay Order of Doom" for free at http://pkdmedia.com as well!

And coming soon:

Greenbrook: Hearts & Spades
A fantasy/soap opera/comedy debuting this fall. Smiley
Front Cover by Tony Fleecs, Art by Stephen "Flint Lockjaw" Reid, Written by Shawn Pryor.

Hopefully I haven't put you to sleep after reading all this. Hope you enjoy. Peace and good times.

Sure. Smiley

Greenbrook: Hearts & Spades deals with a former music star (Stacy Chapman) returning home for a reunion with her best friend that she hasn't spoken to in a few years (Terry Irons).

Upon returning home, Stacy unwillingly becomes a part of a road of lies, deceit, fantasy, and violence.

The quick pitch for this story is that it's a cross between a dramedy/soap opera, elements of Alice In Wonderland, and some of the sassiness of Buffy the Vampire slayer (hopefully).

We're going to debut the book at the Pittsburgh Comicon in September, and we're going to have it available for pre-order on DCBS and Heroes Corner in either September or October.

Thanks for asking!

Hey everybody.

I just thought I'd let you all know that a friend of mine has his first comic coming out from Arcana in October.  The book is called Champion, and here's the solicit from DCBS's page:

 CHAMPION ONE-SHOT (MR)

(W/A) Randy Stone (A) Cezar Razek Being tasked with protecting the entire world has had a negative effect on Josh Matheson's personal life. He can't hold on to a real job and his absence at home pushes his family away. With nothing left of his regular life, Josh is consumed by his perceived super heroic duty - and things get a little out of control. This 32 page one-shot explores what it's like to be Earth's only champion!
Product Code: AUG090634
Your Price: $2.77
Regular Price: $3.95
Discount: 30%

Figured I'd mention it here, as we all know how difficult it is for independent books (especially from first time creators) to get noticed in the sea of everything else. Unfortunately there's no preview material online at the moment, but should that change I'll mention it here.

Here's hoping it piques your interest enough to check it out.

Cheers.
