This might be dumb, but I hope all of these books are good jumping on points for all of the new people trying these things out. Honestly, I'm not interested (in these titles or the rings), but I hope this works out for DC.

Well I'm boned I'm not buying a bunch of random books just to get a ring ...   Now if they would put it out with the GL books rather than the tie-ins ... those are books I'm reading anyways...(the gl books...)  .   I wonder if comic shops will get at least ONE ring  if they don't do do the order  like most did with  the black ring... that is how I got mine!

 If that is the case then I got dibs on any others! I told em to put me down if they do it again with other ring colors   When I called em the first time about the black ring he had no freaking clue what I was talking about until his order came in that day haha!

Thankfully it's all quality books that are being solicited with these rings, I'll happily buy each. 

The only one I don't know about is JLA, is it after Robinson comes on?  Is Wein's current stuff good?

That and I don't read REBELS, I tried it but it never really clicked for me.

We 'discussed' this last night recording and if Chris' view (that stores will make you buy said comic to get said ring) happens, I'm far less pessimistic about this idea. 

I agree Wood.  I'm baffled that any store wouldn't do it this way!

Any store that doesn't use this as an opportunity to get sales on some underperforming, yet deserving, books deserves to get stuck with unsellable inventory.

A kick in the nuts wouldn't be out of line either...

Got a note back from DCBS today letting me know that they will be offering the rings to customers.  They have to figure out the details though.

Also, I suggested putting together a package deal where you can get all the books and all the rings.  They like that idea and are going to put something together on that too (in addition, I believe, to being able to get individual rings tied to individual books).

We're definitely doing the rings with the corresponding books. That was automatic as soon as we got wind of it and the announcement was made.

The only detail to work out is the package deal, a special discount with the package, etc. It'll all get figured out by Tuesday or Wednesday once Cam and I have a chance to sit down and hammer out the details.

I wish Canada had a DCBS!  Shipping here is just so expensive it stops being worth it.  I was tempted to ship them just across the border and pick things up once a month but I decided that was... insane

Maybe not? How far is the border from you? Get a PO Box in a town in New York!  Gas + time > , < , or = the postage to Canada?

I already have a place I can ship to in the US but it's 45 minutes to get there, it's tempting but I'm going to see how Longbox goes, hopefully I won't have much of an LCS anymore.

Same here  I've read good things here about dcbs if they had a cdn store I'd so  use it, sounds like the service of it is better than most comic shops I've been too .   Hey you guys know  shops not only have to order the amount of books but pay $8 for a bag of rings too...
