Have an hour and a half to kill (and who doesn't)? Interested in design, and more specifically book design (again, who isn't)?  Wink

If so, this video (from 2006) may rock your world.  If not, it's still fascinating to hear from 3 of the most accomplished designers working today.

The Art of the Book: Behind the Covers...
...a conversation with Milton Glaser (Everything), Chip Kidd (Knopff), and Dave Eggers (McSweeney’s).

Reminds me of:

which, for any who might not know, is part of:

Hieronymus Bosch's "Garden of Earthly Delights" 1503 - 1504.

Great find, Jefferson. I assume that is one of the pieces that influenced Bosch?

Love Goya:

Supposedly he had this (Saturn devouring his Children) hanging in his dinning room. Must have made his children a little uncomfortable.

I always loved his use of light and dark in this:

Yeah, he's influential, that's for sure. Here was that piece that made me appreciate Goya:

I'm really not sure why, but that one always makes me think of Albrecht Durer.
