Siege was talked about?  Was I on the show??

 Roll On Floor Laughing

Episode 103...? Unless it was your evil doppelganger, you discussed reading Siege and enjoying it, that the art alone was worth the price of admission but that the story certainly held up and you enjoyed it a lot more than Vince did.

No, it was me.  I'm having a chuckle because I'm teasing about the 103 episode thread.

Hey guys, a little behind on the shows, but just wanted to say I loved the Bob Hall props.  He's very overlooked I feel.  Bob actually lives here in Lincoln and while I haven't yet met him, he does have an open invite to our comic book get togethers.  For those interested Bob now works with the community playhouse and from what I understand doesn't have too much interest in comics these days.  Just thought I would pass that along

Wha--?
David Tennant, the actor, didn't want to sign the new contract to stay on the show.  So David Tennant, The Tenth Doctor, had the character say "I don't want to go!"
in his death scene.
So I yelled at my screen, "If you didn't want to go, you should have signed the contract!"

As for you, my dear, dear man--if you don't want to get lost in the shuffle of voices on your podcast, STAY ON THE AIR LONGER PER EPISODE.  It isn't as if nobody's been BEGGING for it for damn near two years now.  MARVEL TALES!!  I WANT MORE MARVEL TALES.  WANT.  Do want.

Why you gotta make a brother beg?

So my cranky ass can't laugh at the list of names - Pat, Rick, and Steve - people compliment when I notice one's missing?

As for staying on the air longer, as soon as there are more hours in the day, you got it.

Admittedly, if you changed you, you wouldn't be you. So your cranky ass can do any and everything your cranky ass desires. Because you're YOU. And that's what I want.

And more Marvel Tales too.

I think people are taking this "culmination of 7 years of story-telling" to heart a bit much.

All that really means is that Bendis tore apart the Cap + Thor + Iron Man Avengers back then and when the dust settles on Siege, we'll have them back together. Full circle. That's it.

It's not like he's saying every strand or hanging issue he's introduced in the 100s of comics he's written is all going to merge together into some kind of karmic moment of significance.

The iconic Avengers, back together.

Plain. Simple. And Welcome.

Exactly!

Had to quote this. Now back to reading the rest of the thread... Smiley

Oh and before I forget, I never really thought about it until Chris talked about it - the reading first then looking at the images or vice-versa.

I never even stopped to analyze how I read comics before but now that I think about what Chris said, I'm more like him, meaning I usually read the page (panels) first and then go back and look at the images. Heck, sometimes I'm so engrossed in the story that I'll read several pages before going back and looking to see what the sequential has to add. I mean, I've actually "peripherally" seen the image but I usually need to go back and take it all in better afterwards. Huh.

Maybe that's why I love the Bendis so much.  Cheesy
