Hello humans! I'd like to pimp StashMyComics.com's second podcast! Yes! We're so awesome we have two podcasts! About 3 months ago a group of SMC members from the forums got together on Skype to just geek out. After several months of weekly discussions and the great job that Jason and Matt are doing on their podcast we decided to take this show to the rest of the SMC community. In this first highly collectible episode we talk about our favorite comics from the week including Justice League International #4, The Defenders #1, Amazing Spider-Man #675, and Red Lanterns #4 which veers into a discussion about comic creators on twitter. We also talk about our least favorite book of the week. We find out who is excited about Avengers vs. X-Men and who isn’t and discuss other comic news. We also discover who everyone’s favorite character is (Somebody hearts Hawkeye). Finally we have our first trivia game in which ego’s are boosted and pride is lost. Then we round out the night with what books we are looking forward to next week Listen to it here: http://www.stashmycomics.com/blog/index.php/2011/12/stashmycomics-com-chase-variant-podcast-episode-0/ or find us on iTunes.

It’s the end of the year as we know it! So myself (MattB), Jason Newcomb, and special guest Chance Peterson discuss our favorite comic books of 2011. We run down the best of from DC, Marvel, and the Independents. We pick things like our favorite book, cover, artist, writer, publisher and more. Come find out what we thought was the best and then share with us what you thought was the best and we’ll mention it in the next show. Happy New Year! http://www.stashmycomics.com/blog/index.php/2011/12/stashmycomics-com-podcast-episode-3/

blog / facebook / twitter / last.fmListen to the 'THE CHEMICAL BOX' podcastsComics were definitely happier, breezier and more confident in their own strengths before Hollywood and the Internet turned the business of writing superhero stories into the production of low budget storyboards or, worse, into conformist, fruitless attempts to impress or entertain a small group of people who appear to hate comics and their creators. - Grant Morrison

In this meandering episode, we get deep. Real deep. But first we talk about children, the Unwritten, Mike Kupperman’s genius, Jason, Dan Nadel’s Art in Time, Lapham-pires, Del Toro, crappy Hemmingway jokes, genetically manufactured spacemen, the function of comic book story telling, mud powered teenagers, mind boggling comics, Zoroastrianism, and fun!
