Latverian Luchadores Comic Podcast Episode 17 All Star SupermanLL Podcast Episode 17 All-Star Superman DIRECT DOWNLOADGood Morning everyone. It’s early and hot here in Las Vegas as we bring you our next installment of the Latverian Luchadores Comic Book Podcast. Every month we assign ourselves one comic book story to read and do a group book report on. Last month was the Watchmen, this month we tackle Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly’s All-Star Superman. All-Star Superman is a 12 issue series that was released from 2005-2008 about Superman….Well, dying. That’s right Superman has 1 year left to live and like anyone that has been giving a count down of their remaining days, Superman makes a bucket list of what he wants to accomplish before he’s gone. Grant Morrison allows Superman to be stripped down to his timeless, essential elements. This is a fantastic story which gave it’s creators a chance to tell stories showcasing Superman and his supporting cast of characters in a universal and likable way without being restricted by DC Universe continuity. Whether you’re a long time Superman fan or a long time Superman hater, or even someone who has never read a Superman story, you can and must pick this series up. As a couple of long time comic book readers, and Superman haters we would like to thank Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly for making us fall in love with Superman for the first time. It’s been 113 degrees of heat and hot in Las Vegas. It’s so hot that Bill and Eiji decided to set out and find the last remaining Thrifty Ice Cream Shop. Today is the first official day of The San Diego Comic Convention 2012, and the announcements and news are starting to come out. Check our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/LatverianLuchadores for all the up to date news and announcements. The Walking Dead issue #100 came out this week and we SPOIL THE HELL OUT OF IT–so beware. Again we SPOIL The Walking Dead #100, so once you’ve finished reading it and you compose your feelings let us know what you think about this issue. We’ve mentioned it before and I say it again, this Summer is huge for Comic Book films. Marvel’s The Avengers has already came out and has continued to print it’s own money. Now The Amazing Spider-Man is the second comic book film to be released this summer. We talk about what we liked, loved and hated about the rebooted Spider-Man movie. Thank you for listening to this episode. We hope you enjoyed it and will continue to join us each week. Please send your comments and questions to latverianluchadores@gmail.comYou can follow us on Twitter @LLComicpodcast and friends us on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/LatverianLuchadores. http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/latverian-luchadores-comic/id526136503

http://comicbookbears.libsyn.com/comic-book-bears-podcast-issue-8-listen-bud-he-s-got-radioactive-bloodIt's an all-Spidey episode! Justin and Billy Z both went to the movies to see The Amazing Spider-Man and they don't exactly agree!* After that, Marvel Team-Up, The Death of Jean DeWolff storyline, Kraven's Last Hunt, Back in Black, One More Day, The Kingpin, Flash Thompson, the Spider-Man/X-Force crossover, the 1970's live action show, Doc Ock, the original Clone War saga and many other topics get caught up in their web of discussion. All this and the should-be-legendary Spider-Man Rockomic!
http://www.youtube.com/v/XXe3aa3naFA&rel=1* BoomerZ's note - How that should read is "One of us loved the movie and the other one is wrong."
