All 3 seasons of Avatat The Last Airbender with my boy (he watched them all, i caight the occasional episode including the fantastic finale). Best kids cartoon i've seen in ages; great animation, characters and story.
You should check out Avatar: The Legend of Korra. For my money it's not quite as good (yet) as the original, but it's damn close. Further it's different enough that it doesn't just feel like a rehash of the same emotional arc, and the fight choreography is spectacular.

Will check it out (when/ if it airs on UK TV/ DVD/ netflix). Cheers.

I didn't know that was on Netflix streaming. May check it out once I go back to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender. Been while when I lost interest in it. I've been watching a few episodes of The Inbetweeners. Not bad, though not as funny out the gate as I thought. Also been watching eth 90's Spider-Man cartoon. I think this holds up so well.

Dude, you should check out the doc. Such Hawks Such Hounds. It's all up on youtube. Here is the description: Such Hawks Such Hounds explores the music and musicians of the American hard rock underground circa 1970-2007, focusing on the psychedelic and '70s proto-metal-derived styles that have in recent years formed a rich body of unclassifiable sounds. There's a Pentagram segment along with Kyuss, Sleep, Sun O))), Ohm, and many others.

WOW! What a roller coaster ride that was. I didn't know anything about Pentagram until a few years ago when I saw Hank III do a Halloween tribute to them. I checked them out and dug what I heard but had no idea about the history of the band or Bobby. It's a sad and fucked up story and unfortunately, it's one that happens way too often.

I'll second this recommendation in a heartbeat i did it chris' way; watched jiro dreams of sushi and read get jiro shortly after. made me crave for some good sushi! its funny how their preferred sushi is just basic fish and rice, while we here in the US like the fancy, complicated rolls. anyway, the movie made me appreciate the beauty of simplicity; the craft and skill that goes into sushi making. ==== so terriers is about one of the most perfect shows i've ever had the pleasure of watching. 12 or so episodes and pretty much all of them are perfect. wickedly funny, crushingly sad, great story and awesome actors. it lasted for a season. if you're a fan like me, i got good news (maybe)! Donal Logue’s Brilliant But Canceled ‘Terriers’ May Be ReturningRead more: http://www.uproxx.com/tv/2012/08/donal-logues-terriers-may-be-returning-as-a-movie/#ixzz259T5Ju5j-mike

Oh Man, Terriers was great. I recommend it to everyone. I'd love for it to return. Never has a show had two main characters that I just wanted to kick back and shoot the shit with.

Just watched "Not Quite Hollywood" on Amazon Prime, it should be on Netflix also.
Great documentary about Australian exploitation cinema.
Rated R for graphic nudity, sexuality, violence and gore, some language and drug use, this has got it all!

Also watched "God Bless America" on Amazon Prime. Black comedy by Bobcat Goldthwaite where an older man & a 16 year old girl (a pretty unlikely duo) who are fed up with the cruelty and stupidity of American culture, team up to whack reality TV stars, bigots and others they find to me reprehensible.

Tudors is great. My wife & I watched all 4 seasons earlier this year. The other series you are thinking of is (I believe) is Showtime's "The Borgias" http://www.sho.com/sho/the-borgias/home

Conan the Barbarian - some cool scenes here and there, but mostly a bad movie Jiro Dreams of Sushi - a good documentary if you like Japanese culture and/or food documentaries. Jiro Ono seems like a cool dude. Super 8 - okay, it would be better if I was about twelve yrs old, not much for adults

Ugh. As a long-time roleplayer I have a hard time with that documentary. It feels borderline-exploitative, and did not represent my own experience with the hobby - at all. To quote Robin D. Laws' brief review: The Dungeons and Dragons phenomenon is studied as a contrast to the quiet desperation characterizing the lives of three avid gamers. Although the filmmakers clearly believe that they're presenting an affirmative take on the roleplaying hobby, they're not onlyv advancing a trite easy thesis, but blindly abusing the trust placed in them by their subjects. For more context, there's an old-ish thread on RPG.net that discusses it, with one of the subjects weighing in as well (I haven't read all of it).
