Congrats dude ! I'd really need to learn how to run. I can do an hour on the indoor bicycle without a problem, but if I start running I kill myself in 5 minutes...

I had a bit of a spell last week where I passed out while walking down the hall, I woke up to a broken plate and a bunch of chow mein strewn down the hall and my girlfriend crying over me thinking I was dead. I went to the doctor and he basically told me that I really need to clean my shit up (didn't know why I had passed out), blood pressure was too high, about 40 lbs. over weight, just completely out of shape and not very healthy. So today I decided to go jogging/walking (i've been trying to walk more recently, but needed something a little more strenuous to get the old heart rate up). I put on my jogging clothes and stood there absolutely petrified about it. No way was I gonna go jogging down the street with all those hotties in yoga pants while my beer gut bangs around like a bobcat in a gunny sac, or my big ass making me look like the prima donna at a gangster pool party. FUCK NO! But I got the balls to do it…ran/walked for about 2 miles and my body is wrecked, but it felt damn good, and I feel proud of myself (which I normally don't feel…spend a lot of time eating fillets wrapped in bacon). So I just wanted to say to you guys who are trying to get more healthy. PROPS. Cause that shit aint easy.

I'm 2 months into the Primal lifestyle, and feeling great. Down a little over 20 lbs. I finally quit smoking, and my energy level is better than it's been in years. Sal and I are working out at lunch 3 times a week, and I'm playing tennis and softball a couple times a week each. 20 lbs. to my goal, but I'm really just excited to be feeling good. I'll be 40 in less than a year.

Thanks fellas, I appreciate it. Welcome to the club! It's hard for a bit but you'll eventually reach the point that you feel guilty and/or strange about not exercising or cheating on the diet.

I wanted to revive this thread since I wanted to revive my diet (and jump start things for the next 90 days).
190 lbs, plan on losing 35 lbs (not in 90 days, but at least 20 in 90 days).

Go for it man! I've been hitting it pretty hard myself lately. I run on my lunch break anywhere from 4 - 7 miles, do a little over a mile when I wake up and ride the exercise bike at night. I try and burn 1,200 to 1,500 calories a day during the week and 2,000 on the weekend. It's been hard work, but it is paying off. In the next week I'm going to have reached a MAJOR milestone in weight loss, and I'll be sure to share here when I do.

I know the other Get Fit or Die Tryin' thread seems to have replaced this one (and I'll post this in both), but this is the original thread to me, and the one I've always posted in. I wanted to post this news here.
As of this week I have lost 100 pounds. It took me 8 years from my top weight to where I am today, but I am so happy to reach this milestone. I'm not done yet, but I'm getting much closer. During law school I got up to 275 pounds (highest known weight) and as of this morning I am 173. I've not weighed this little since Junior High I think, and that was as a fat kid, not a fit adult. People I've known for years and haven't seen for awhile walk by and don't recognize me. That's happening once or twice a week at least. I'm doing things I never thought I could do. I run 4 - 8 miles every day! When I started I couldn't run for 30 seconds, now I run for over an hour straight some days.
