Relaxed AM this morning. Woke up on schedule but didn't attend to go to the gym. Will prolly do tomorrow or Friday. And definitely Sat AM.
So far I only had a Tall Latte. I'm gonna have about 20 grapes in a few minutes. Work demands are keeping me from the eYUM eYUM!
But then again, I feel like I've really turned a corner here. MY fattening spiral I think, is at an end. I looked back at two years of me (at the two HeroCons in Charlotte), and I see that I've never really had a flat belly. Which makes me want it more than ever. I cant believe I'm incapable of having one.
And too, again, it's about control. Just a few too many things are "all up in here" just pushin me around and working me like la canine. So this eating thing? This losing all the weight? Yeah--it's my way of telling life, the universe, and everything to BTFU--*I* got this one!
Okay, now fa mah grapes!
Latte? A Starbucks latte? Did you use whole milk? Sugars?

Ok, feeling good today, its day 2 of the diet.
Last night we made turkey cutlets with some sauteed leeks and mushrooms and I had a half cup of brown rice and some asparagus spears with it. Having the leftovers for lunch today. Had some wine with dinner, but not too much. I remembered one of the biggest things I did when I lost all the weight before was cutting alcohol out of my diet, especially beer. Lots of empty carbs and calories. And sitting around drinking typically led to late night snacking of some sort so I am going to try to be good in that regard.
this morning I had a cup of coffee and egg whites for breakfast. having a snack now of tea and oatmeal.
the biggest thing for me is to try to not be hungry, I got around that by having these smaller meals. Sitting around the office all day you don't realize how much "bad snacking" you do, there is always some sweets being left out or a cake for someone. It all just adds up. You really have to be cognizant of each time you eat and what impact it will have on you.

The alcohol is the hardest thing for me. For most of my first few months of Project Rebuild, I avoided alcohol save for one drink, usually a light beer or wine, with our recording. Lately, now that I'm about as light as I want to get, I've been enjoying some beer at the Eagles games and some wine at night with the wife, but that's a lever I feel I can easily turn on/off as needed. My goals this year are two-fold: *** Six pack *** Half marathon

wow, half marathon, good luck, at my tip top shape I was running 4 miles a day and that took me a while to build up to. I'd love to get back there, it seemed like the weight really started shedding off for me when I was consistently running. I am glad football season is coming to an end, 1) because of my the display the Giants were putting up and 2) because Sundays were always the diet ruining days hanging out somewhere watching 8 hours of football, drinking and eating whatever. clean start to the year where I can focus on my health.

I love my Starbucks iPhone app. I know just what the numbers are when I order my grande soy mocha (no whip).

2% milk. If you don't make any requests, then they automatically make it with 2%. And no sugar. Not even Nutrasweet. Cause I can roll like that sometimes, yo. I put it in my Food Diary--along w/ mah grapes! So far; Calories Carbs Fat Protein 214 32 6 10 I have over 1K cals to go for the day! I think I'm going to murder some skinless grill chik from KFC for lunch. You know what really worked for me last night? When I finished the food diary for the day, it said "If you do this every day, in 5 weeks you'll be 202.~ lbs."I was like, "SOLD!!!!" And although I have been as low as 186, I'm imagining what that thing will tell me in February. I imagine it will be something like "If you do this every day, by CGSSS you'll be SEXY BABY!!"

So you can be called Jason "C'mere you sexy ANIMAL" Wood. In my mind, Mrs. Wood (who seems to have no first name ) and Renee Price are in a race around their perspective bedrooms to see who can chase their man down the quickest. I want one of you guys to say/have said this as you all get gorgeous(er); "Want to take the new body out for a test drive?" Yeeeah baby!

Since it was after 8:00 last night, I didn't bother with the leftover ziti. Renee cooked up the ground turkey so I threw some in a whole wheat tortilla, sprinkled some shredded mild cheddar in there, and had a quick-n-dirty makeshift soft taco. And I might've had more turkey in the one than if I spread it out across two. But I didn't want all that tortilla.
Today's lunch (Boar's Head lemon pepper chicken, Swiss, and cheddar) is on rye bread, not the J.J. Cassone enriched sandwich roll.

Dinner last night was an organic all-veggie pot pie by Amy's with a Kashi whole wheat cookie and an orange for dessert. Life's good.
For lunch, grilled salmon, brown rice and stir fried veggies (broccoli, carrots, celery).

Oh, man! That sounds AMAZING! We use a service called Organics to You. They deliver a box of local produce as often as you like. We get one every 2 weeks right now. I'm using it to make a Winter Vegetable soup tonight with leeks, spinach(!), potatoes, celery, etc. The kind where you take half of it out at the end and puree it and then add it back to the pot so it's all thick and creamy. NOw I'm hungry!

3 pcs grill'd chix, mashed w/gravy, green beans, no biscuit. Only 505 cals. 27g of fat (I ain't scurred), 43g of protein. It takes me over the protein recommend, and that happened yesterday too, even though the calories were under goal. Protein bad? But I got muscle under this fat! I mean, if I had no fat at all, I'd be amazing! My wife's name is Beth So noted. I understand--you din't want nobody callin' that name but Milord!

I go meaningfully over my protein allocation almost every day, but am way under in sugars, carbs as a rule. No one can convince me that's not the best way to shed weight and keep it off in a hurry.

Raw baby spinach on a whole wheat bread sandwich is transcendent. I'm lucky enough to live near an all-natural bakery named Big Sky Bread. Their breads, brownies and cookies are all very wheaty and low in fat. Anyone else live near such a magical place?

I bake all of our bread. It's a honey wheat with sunflower and flax seeds. We buy Italian and French breads as needed for special meals. If I ever buy sandwich bread from a bakery, it's Great Harvest. I love their stuff.

Oh, before I forget again, here are my vital stats as of January 6th 2010: Dave Mathis 6'6" 245 lbs Goal 6'6" (I do pretty good at maintaining this) 225 lbs and stay there I'll check in every two weeks.
