No, because there will be a major death in this arc and Nightcrawler is a major X-Men player that hasn't played a larger role in the X-Men for awhile. It is just a guess. |

Its just a feeling...this Xmen 'Trilogy' has religious undertones...messiah complex..Second coming.
Faith seems to be a theme for Second Coming, Scotts faith was demonstrated in the first issue, when he claimed that Hope was still alive.
And Nightcrawler is a man of faith.
The death will need to matter..Angel? his death wont matter, plus he's an X-force member, and they seem to be exploring his Archangel side now.
Iceman? maybe...I would prefer if it was him, but i think not...Colossus? bit unfair if he was to die now that Kitty is back. and any of the new kids, Pixie, Anole etc...their deaths would be greeted with a firm "meh".
Characters that die in an event usually have their usual role "beefed up" somewhat before they cop it. Blue Beetle had a whole issue to himself before Max Lord blew his head off.
I noticed that Nightcrawler was quite vocal in the Second Coming issue, and has featured prominently in recent Wolverine comics.
While it breaks my heart...Nightcrawler will die before Second Coming finishes. I hope to Bob that I'm wrong.

Cable is sooooo dead. I have to agree. Considering the path he has been on the last year, story wise it makes the most sense, particularly if it takes place in the pages of X-Force. The only way I think it is the next most likely, Kurt, is if the taglines are for the mini event are to be beleived: "One Will Die" and "One Will Sacrifice". In that case, Kurt will die and Cable will Sacrifice (which may be somehow be slightly less bad than dying?) Either way, it's not a promising future for Cable. |

Cable has already made a sacrifice in the time he spent protecting Hope. Nightcrawler dying would have a greater impact. Maybe Kitty might be the choice? Wait she can't have a sheet over her. Still think its professor X. All of those characters are drawn clear, which is how characters in the Astral Plane look.
