whats the difference between the Afrodisiac deluxe edition and the regular hard cover? Im definantly going to snag one, but wanted to see what extras you get with the Deluxe.

Great show guys, I love that you all will get just as excited over the indie books as the mainstream Marvel/DC books.

Hey Robert, the only differences are:

1) You get a dust cover on the Deluxe (see my avatar)
2) There are only 100 copies made
3) You get a signed little litho (postcard size)

I finished this episode days ago and had a discussion with a friend this morning, sharing the goodness of Afrodisiac. While I've yet to order it (I saw some preview pages which were hilarious), I discussed about this book and the friend responded, "SEE NOW COMICS SHOULD HAVE MORE OF THOSE". Kudos to Vince and Wood for talking about it!

As for Planet Hulk, I was kinda peeved with how much was cut down in content but it was enough to be enjoyable.

We're putting together an online Afrodisiac art show/contest. Hopefully some of your will participate, and hopefully everyone who likes the book will enjoy this. Here are the details (I'll also post it in the art area of the forums):

Objet d'Afro

You are invited to the online Player's Ball of art shows, "Objet d'Afro" on Flickr. Objet d'Afro highlights the obvious awesomeness of everyone's favorite superhero, the Afrodisiac.

Here's what we want - post a picture on our Flickr group of an Afrodisiac art thing...you pick the medium...you pick the everything. All mediums of art; whether it be painting, graphic art, sculpting, drawing, sketching, fake ads, short strips, or gluing an afro on a Ken doll. All categories are welcome, as are entrants from all countries....whatever...go nuts. If you don't have a Flickr account, send us the picture...or the art thing...and we'll post it for you.

We'll have some awesome prizes for the king of the long shoe (art) game.

King Daddy: a piece of original art featuring Afrodisiac vs Dragonfly
Poppa-stoppa: a deluxe edition of the Afrodisiac and a signed copy of the Street Angel trade paperback
Cigarette Pimp: a signed copy of Afrodisiac

Honorable mention(s) will recieve a signed Afrodisiac print.

The contest will run from now (get going) through the end of March. Winners will be named by April 15, 2010.
