Thanks for that, man. At least now I can see where the appreciators are coming from. For the record, I really liked Hickman and Eaglesham's first arc, too... but since then, I think the book's been the pits. Three good and three not-so-good isn't a great batting average (ha!) to me... but, hey, maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt. That's the same record as the first 6 issues of Batman and Robin, after all... I can see the comparison between those, but the problems with those, for me, was purely on the art for the two issues after Eaglesham's arc and the Phillip Tan arc of B&R. Tan certainly had a consistent tone that was appropriate for the story, but he really wasn't a good fit for the hyper-fight scenes that the book is now known for; and whoever drew those F4 arcs just didn't have his anatomy down. The infamous "retard" panel is very ironic because with Valeria's face slanted to the left it looks like she has Downs Syndrome. But you can't blame those on Hickman or Morrison. Is it Vince with the Cylon audio issue or someone else? Leo Laporte at this week in tech had that problem with a few panel guests. It was because those people used macbooks, and for some reason the first USB slot caused it after a while. It also happened with a certain headset as well for a few others.
It feels appropriate to post this: Anyway, something related to comics: I don't remember right now who it was who said it, but the "Two Kirkmans" between his indie and Marvel work? Completely spot-on. I love Invincible and Walking Dead--I'm way behind on them, but I intend on fixing that in the near future--but his Marvel work has just been bloody terrible. Marvel Zombies was everything that Walking Dead is not--boring torture porn that becomes less horrifying and more annoying, his Ultimate X-Men was everything bad about the 90s (and trying to create an Ultimate Cable just shows he had no fucking idea what he was doing), and I just couldn't get into his Ant-Man stuff.

Um guys I'm not sure if anyones corrected you guys yet but its Leandro not Leonardo. The same Leandro Fernandez who was the artist of some of the best arcs of Max Punisher Ennis wrote, like the Slavers, Up is Down Black is White and Man of Stone.

Another great episode guys. Love the diversity of comics that you touched on, even though I'll probably never read most of them. Glad to hear that you have no intention of trying to imitate the iFanboys. I'm impressed by their dedication but I prefer the free-flowing nature of y'alls product.

What was the "I'm bringing the love tonight"-thread referring to? Because I was missing the Golgo action! You can't tease me like this!

I've brought that up before. It's already been tried. It's a Mac abacus, silly. Say that three times fast: Mac abacus! Mac abacus! Mac abacus! FUN! MACABUS!!!!! I just finished listening to the episode. I think DAP is stealing my schitck with the "Loeb is bi-polar" analogy. He owes me a quarter.

"If you work really hard, and are kind, amazing things will happen" Conan O'Brian, 2010
Comic Vine: Where does Thunderbolt Ross' mustache go when he turns into Red Hulk? Will your Hulk ever have a mustache?
Mark Waid: Thunderbolt’s mustache goes into the Negative Zone, where it enjoys its own separate adventures that will hopefully someday be told. Our Hulk needs no mustache. Muttonchops, perhaps.

I was nervous when I met Roger Langridge. I decided not to meet Frank Miller, because I wanted to continue liking him. I generally don't get nervous about saying hi to "big-time" artists though.

Good show, boys... I feel bad that I didn't get to talk to Ron more at Windy-City. Nice addition to the discussion though.
