Comic Vine: Where does Thunderbolt Ross' mustache go when he turns into Red Hulk? Will your Hulk ever have a mustache?

Mark Waid: Thunderbolt’s mustache goes into the Negative Zone, where it enjoys its own separate adventures that will hopefully someday be told. Our Hulk needs no mustache. Muttonchops, perhaps.

I haven't read The Killer, but I'm interested in tracking it down after reading the issue of Days Missing that Matz wrote. I really liked that, and I've had The Killer on my wish list ever since. If you read it first, let me know how it is!

Yep, I've read it, but a while ago. It's a brilliant book, it's French noir at it's best. What I love about the book is the exploration of "The Killers" psyche, couple that with a interesting story, brutal action, and beautiful artwork then you've got a must read book.  Yes

Here's a review of the first issue Read About Comics did, they better describe the overall feel and tone of the book.

Where is Spooky anyway? I haven't seen him on the forum for a while.

He popped up in the Marvel Noise Episode 108 thread over the weekend.

Big karma, Sean.  I didn't know this book existed.  Loved, loved The Invisibles; I can see Shea and Wilson's Illuminatus! Trilogy on my bookshelf from where I sit, purchased many years ago under the influence of King Mob and co.
But I'm not seeing Our Sentence is Up on Amazon or In Stock Trades, among other sites.  Any ideas how a fella could get his grimy paws on this book?

I've been thinking.  Thinking

This may be the last week that I'll be buying single issues. My enthusiasm for single issues is starting to wane, mostly due to where to store them and the cost. Plus I like to re-read my stuff, and it's a pain when you constantly have to get them out of their bags and boards.

Really.  Let's just say I'll be surprised if you stick with that.  You've been known to change your mind a time or two.  Tongue

this is the constant battle that I'm forced to deal with. Luckily with a certain discount service, I'm able to buy trades. Even if I don't end up liking the collected edition it's a win for me because I figure at least i didn't read a book for six months only to be dissapointed by the last issue

All power to you then.  It's something I'm gravitating more toward myself, but I know I'm not ready to do it yet.

I know it's not going to be easy, the wait for the collected editions will be hard, but I'll persevere.

Just quickly:

I gotta say the double dose of Deadpool this week was awesome! Very fun and funny stuff.

Iron Man's arc had a mind blowing ending

The Boys is heating up!

And First Wave has potential, but I'm not sold, also where was Batman?

The eternal struggle for the comic book nerd... to buy floppies, or to break up the collection?  Help

Man, I feel you... I definitely understand the appeal of both, and have bought exclusively in both formats for long periods of time in the past. I think I've settled down to a healthy mix... what I'd ask you is, are there things you don't want to wait for? If so, buy those in singles. Are there things you're interested in, but don't necessarily need right now? Things you'd be fine waiting a year or two for and picking up at a TFAW nick and dent sale? Plan for those in trade.

What I found when I went trade exclusive was that I missed the constant barrage of new and varied material... when you're only buying 5-10 trades at a go, if a couple of them are duds, that's a real bummer. I also found that I almost completely lost interest in mainstream superhero comics... not out of choice, but just because those tend to be all about the big reveal at the end of the issue, the anticipation, discussions within the community, all that stuff.

When you're reading a book 6 months to a year and a half after the fact and all the major plot points have already been spoiled for you just because the stories keep moving on, and when you finally read, say, Civil War and want to talk about it and everyone looks at you like you just farted in church, then you really lose interest. Maybe you'd be different, and maybe you don't think that'd be a bad thing... thass just what happened to me. Whaaaat

Choose wisely, my son!

yeah, I'm thinking that if it's been traded, and isn't dear to my heart that I should go ahead and sell the singles and buy a trade.

books that I still want in single issues (anything 1980 and earlier, My near complete run of the original New Mutants)

those are my thoughts, but I've never actually sold anything so I don't even know how to approach it.
