I was just filling up my amazon.co.uk cart and added Afrodisiac what pops up next is the screen with customers who bought this also bought:

GoGo Monster Vol 1.
by Taiyo Matsumoto

Pluto: Urasawa X Tezuka Vol 1.
by Naoki Urasawa

Torpedo Vol 1.
by E. Sanchez Abuli

Mesmo Delivery
by Rafael Grampa

I remember hearing about atleast the first three on 11 O'clock Comics and I'm pretty sure Mesmo has been mentioned atleast the art looks bloody awesome.
Coincidence... I think not.

Listening to the show just in the past year has resulted in me buying:
Afrodisiac
Asterios Polyp
Alien Legion Omnibus vol 1
The Nobody
Mysterious the Unfathonable
The Art of Osamu Tezuka: God of Manga
all TPBs of Scalped
The Walking Dead Compendium
Ten Cent Plague
The Mammoth Book of Best Crime Comics

I am still working my way through them all. But each time I listen to the podcast I usually end up adding something to my Amazon cart.

I appreciate all the great recommedations guys! Keep it up!

I have Afrodisiac coming in a order that is on it's way.  I also have Planet Hulk sitting here as well (first episode I ever listened to of 11'olock). The great thing about Amazon is their wish lists. Anytime I hear the guys on 11'oclock, Around Comics or Ifanboy mention something they really like I add it to my wishlist. The list is very very long, but I will get around to everything eventually.  Thumbs Up

I have only begun recently getting into comics A huge portion of the collected books are based on what the guys recommend.

Here is a quick list:
Asterios Polyp
Essex County Trilogy
The Nobody
Scalped in issues
The Walking Dead Compendium

Criminal Ombibus is on order with Amazon (he he he)

Thanks for the recommendations guys! I don't know that I would have read half of these books if it wasn't for them

That's the reason that I curse them. I had to increase my comic budget by about $75 a month after listening so I could read all of this stuff. Don't get me wrong it's great stuff and I appreciate it but my poor wine budget has suffered.

This podcast has indeed exploded my library usage...I visit a SPL branch at least once a week nowadays, and have done so for most of the past 9 months, thanks to 11 O'Clocker suggestions. I just finished West Coast Blues...thanks for the tip Vince! This reminds me that I need to put whichever Jack of Fables trade follows The Bad Prince on hold at the library...

In one year of listening, I've learned about or been convinced to purchase:

Afrodisiac
Gogo Monster
School: A Ghost Story (thank you, Chris)
S.W.O.R.D.
Steve Ditko's self-published books (thank you, Zack Kruse and DCBS)
Mysterius the Unfathomable (credit to Around Comics, too)
Light of thy Countenance
The incredible art of Lisa Hanawalt

And most importantly, the work of Naoki Urasawa, who is now my favorite creator of comics.
Not Worthy  Thank you, Vince!  Not Worthy

I'll credit Josh Flanagan with introducing me to Scalped, and the CGS guys with my Jeff Lemire love, but y'all have certainly reinforced both.

And I'll eventually be buying:
Asterios Polyp
West Coast Blues
Torpedo
The Art of Osamu Tezuka, God of Manga

What more can I say?  Dog bless you fellas, and keep on keepin' on.

Afrodisiac is in the top 100 GN list for amazon & amazon.ca

I don't think it would if it wasn't praised here and a month later on iFanboy.
I think that is totally bad-ass & deserving, cuz Afrodisiac is afro-dy-no-mite!!!

The amount of joy I have gotten out of book recommendations from the podcast and people on this forum is immeasurable.

I have widened my understanding and appreciation of the medium by 10 fold since I started coming here and feel like I am in on one of the best secrets when I pick up a book that someone mentioned around here.  Because even if you didn't particularly care for the book, more times than not you are better off having been exposed to it anyways.  And that experience always leads to uncovering a creator that you might have have been that familiar with or only known from his work with the big 2.
