Speaking of which, when's the next episode coming out? Edit that bitch already! You guys should do a drunken commentary. You're already halfway there.

In all fairness my blu-ray player is a PS3.
Nice...my DVD player from '00-'06 was a first-generation Playstation 2...it started to hiccup when I first played the Extended Edition of Return of the King with it. I still keep the '98 Philips VHS from Costco stashed in the closet...in the early '00s I had it attached to the rest of the living room entertainment center gear, back when my wife & I frequented Scarecrow Video and On 15th Video. Now we're Netflix 2-at-a-timers who download the occasional video with Vuze.

I've never owned a DVD player that wasn't a video game system. Hey, two birds, right?

Yeah, the next one might not come out for another couple weeks. Not to spread the man's business around too much, but Jay and his wife had a big death in the family this week. Even I'm still kinda in shock. Maybe some day on the drunken commentary, though apparently someone else does it much better.

Even I'm still kinda in shock. Oof. Best wishes. Maybe some day on the drunken commentary, though apparently someone else does it much better. He's crap at it, actually. He just reads from IMDB and repeats himself a lot. The niche of excellent drunken commentaries is still waiting to be filled and I think you're just the drunks to do it.

I thought Choker #1 was pretty good, it was reminiscent of Fell for me and I thought the writing while trying to be noir-ish almost became a little too cliche but overall I thought it was an interesting start to a story and Templesmith's art is fantastic. love the con talk, I am going to my first con this spring in Boston so these tips are much appreciated.

I think you're being anal retentive. Plus, if you wanted to, you could kinda add the Bullpen Bulletins in there, in which case this will be, what, show 130 or so? Looking forward to episode #100. Get pretty for us! As if you guys could be anything but pretty....

The whole comic con thing got me all kinds of bummed out. Talking about how going to the con with friends is the best experience. While I have a great group of friends and a great girlfriend none of them are into comics. I would love it if I had a friend who was willing to fly out for C2E2. Hope you guys have a blast and I cant wait to hear all the stories about it on the podcast.

But I specifically heard them say the following (paraphrased) "If you recognize us, come up to us and say something." Lawrence, all you have to do is get there. Take it from one who knows being shy, once you break through that barrier and just say hello "My name is ... my name is ... my name is ..." you're home. You needn't spend a solitary second alone at C2E2 until you want to.

I was thinking the same thing. At the same time while im sure they are the nicest guys and most the people I meet at my LCS are always nice it would be weird to just tag along with a group hoping they invite you out for drinks. Its all good though hopefully soon enough ill make it out to one of those east coast shows. Getting to see AC sign off would be a sweet bonus though.

I know how you feel. I go to cons by myself mostly (my wife might come for a day sometimes and I don't really have a lot of friends who live nearby), and I felt like some weird guy tagging along and getting in the way whenever I see people I know. I still kinda do to some extent. I just think that I am imposing myself on them which is the last thing I want to do. But honestly, Lawrence is right. Just going is the key. Say hi. Everybody I have met and come to know through AC, 11O'C, and the cons are the nicest guys in the world. I got plenty of great con stories about a lot of these guys.

I'm WUMBA stoked for episode 100! Two questions, though... 1) Has it been brought up that next Wednesday is St. Patrick's Day? And if so, is the Ep.100 broadcast still happening that night? 2) Will it still be recorded? Cuz if it's happening Wednesday night, I got family obligations and won't be able to attend the live event.

Chris I just became aware that there is a zine fest going on in Chicago. Quimby's is involved, and something known as the Comics Symposium of Chicago, is also attached to it. Is this too indy for you or did you get a chance to check it out? I am really curious about the underground comic community in Chicago, if you go I would love to hear your opinions about it. Also regarding taping the show on St. Patrick's Day, I say go for it. St. Patrick's Day is just one of those awful amateur hour holidays; I have to admit on a certain level being an Irish American if I spend too much time thinking about it I become offended by the terrible stereo-typing. Maybe we can all eat fried chicken on Martin Luther King Day, or pick pennies off the ground on Merry Moses day. Screw that sham holiday and let 11-100 be born, creating a new cause for celebrating drinking. If you think about you'll be drinking and screaming like banshees anyway so it will be a typical St. Patrick's Day celebration. Really loved the con advice, really love the show in general. Keep up the good work guys.

Y'all's Wednesday evening is my Thursday morning, and Thursdays usually suck because I have two writing/grammar classes, but I hope I can get in on this episode 100 thing, at least for a little while. Don't have a web cam, though.

also on the con front i figured i would add this. If you see an artist who is completely busting his ass working on sketches for everyone, offer to get the guy/gal something to eat or drink. its only polite.
