Greetings boogie children. Just thought I might share a fun little art project I was working on a while back, remixing various album covers with various comic book characters. Not a terribly original concept, I know, but I hadn't seen any rap albums get this kind of treatment so I figured, why not me? I'm new here and still figuring out the board's collective tastes, but I figure someone here might be able to appreciate these. Here are a few samples from the larger Flickr set.

Man, those are awesome! Of course would someone like M.O.D.O.K write a song named "The World Is Yours", he needs that affirmation the most!

Are you finished with that project? Because I don't see why those works wouldn't work outside of these forums, you know? There are in the same vein of the "Neill’s A-Z of Awesomeness" pieces from last year, so don't undermine yourself and make yourself a name with those on the blogs.

Don't worry, we must taste like old spunk by now, bring your new and own... spunk.
... but I figure someone here might be able to appreciate these.
I sure did!

HA! I love it.

Those are so great! I appreciate being lumped in that same vein of awesomeness.

I'm finished for the time being to work on other things (this project began as just a warm up Thor sketch before embarking on another project but I'm easily distracted), but if I get my second wind on the idea I may revisit it. I actually did get these linked on a couple of music sites but no comic related ones, oddly enough. Eh, I don't really know how one gets linked besides taking the whole 'if you build it they will come (or not)' approach.

Don't worry, we must taste like old spunk by now, bring your new and own... spunk.  I sure did!

Oh believe me, I plan on spunking all over you guys!

Being a huge hiphop head and a comic guy I can definitely  appreciate what you did with these pieces. My favorite is the IPMD. Great Job!

My first reaction was, "Shouldn't that be LDMD?" I'm a little slow on the up-take at times...

And yeah, this is excellent! I'd love to see more!

Totally sweet, I'm "stealth printing" a couple at work to put on my fridge. (My g.f. is a hip hop fan and I'm comic fan, great compromise).

Word up! Thanks everybody. No immediate plans to revisit this project but I probably will eventually. I've received a few requests that I think would be fun to do. So... more to come? Question mark?
