Uncanny X-Men #137. It is my favorite issue and I would hate losing it.

It's so tough. I don't have any books that are valuable, money-wise, but I have a lot that are valuable to me personally.

I'd take.............Absolute V for Vendetta

If it had to be a single issue it would have to be this

I realize not everyone is big on autographs. But it represents the first time I met 2 of my idols. Frank Miller and Bill Sienkiewicz

If I couldn't get to my long boxes. I would take this

Batman Black & White Signed by: Kevin Nowlan, Bill Sienkiewicz, Neal Adams, Chuck Dixon, and Jim Lee

Such an event would devastate me...to the point that I don't even like to think about these fantasy scenarios (mostly cause they're too real.  "Which would you save if a dragon ate the rest?" would be more reassuringly fantastic).

I have no single book I'd save.  Maybe if I saw one I hadn't read yet as I ran out I'd grab it.  I wish I had something super valuable I could save, sell, and rebuild my collection with.  But I don't.

FF #48, #49, and #50.  They're the only irreplaceable comics I have.  Which is why they're in my safe deposit box.  So I'll just go with my giant folly of a portfolio of sketches and original pages.

Heh. Yeah, I guess it's a pretty drastic scenario to bring up hypothetically. My asking stems from having lived in SoCal for the last eight years, where wild-fires will flare up once or twice a year. Every time the fires come close to my neck of the woods, I start thinking about evacuation scenarios, and my gaze ultimately lands on my comic & book collection, and the question always pops into my head -- "I can't save it all. So, what would I save?"

I still haven't figured out the answer to my own question. It is emotionally devastating, and it's something that I truly hope never ever happens to ANY of you...  but it's something I can't help but think about.

I think that's probably the most bang for my grab speaking of both quality and quanity.  SiP is a lot of fantastic comic.

A bit off-topic, but I just sold my FF#49 (and a ton of other old comics) to Mycomicship.com, and they game me CRAZZZZZZZZY! store credit.  And every issue had either the cover or centerfold detached, and they still took them.
