Combine overamplification with fairly robust noise removal filtering, and the result is a slight ring/buzz. Every time. Since I'm off to Hershey Park tonight with the kids, it was either release the episode band-aids and all or shelve it and skip a week. Of course not. And if we don't say it enough Vince, thank you for all the effort you do week in and week out to get the show out for us on Thursday. it means the world to us. And for what's it worth, your subliminal messages to buy Duncan the Wonder worked ("Yes master.....")

What are those things that you think are cool about Hex? Just curious. I say this because, most of the times in this kind of conversation (just using your post since it came up), it's easy to say what the movie/preview has that's keeping people away - but I rarely see what it is that it doesn't have which keeps people away. If that makes sense. By the way, I'm definitely in the "it's not as bad as everyone's saying" category. But then again, neither is plucking a nose hair. Doesn't mean I wanna do it over and over. I like his smart-ass, hard-ass, bad-ass nature, and I like it when it feels genuine, instead of like someone's pokin' fun at it. You can still do that in a humorous or playful setting (Lansdale did a great job of this, and Palmiotti and Gray have done this from time to time as well), but for the most part, Hex to me is the guy who scares away the pretty girls, not gets them. He doesn't have an ounce of charm, and he's a true misanthrope... Warren Ellis, but real ugly on top of it. Maybe it's a lot to ask that I get that from a movie preview, and maybe the flick honestly delivers... I just didn't get that impression, and I'm not in a big rush, is all. I like a lot of the "bad" comic book movies, so it's honestly more important to me that it "feel" like one of those character's stories than that it be ultra-faithful or anything. I'm the guy who loved -- not like, LOVED -- Ghost Rider and Punisher War Zone. Might be that Hex falls along those lines, but the goofy gadgets and I'm-a-likeable-bastard-who-flirts-with-pretty-girls aspects of the preview didn't engender a ton of confidence. I'll prolly catch it on Netflix Watch Now in a few years or something.

Good episode. I loved everyone, but i have to give the episode MVP to Chris.
Well, if you're going to start handing out awards for dumbassery then, yeah, Chris wins.

I was just going to post something similar. I think a lot of what he said was tongue in cheek. Who knows? He's never on the forums as far as I know, so we don't have much to go by.
I don't think so. Now that guy was serious, and seriously annoying.
If that guy's comments were jokes then he sucks at comedy. It made me angry when I realized that he was dissing Julian's comments. I want Julian to appear regularly on the show, as it adds more fun. Why all the iFanboy hate? Granted i'm annoyed that there is a lack of Marvel Noise love mentioned during the show. We should ask David and Vince why they chose to air this guys complaints?

interesting episode; accept for that obnoxious phone call. i don't know what he is talking about. does he realize that Chris does podcasts for ifanboy and Wood writes for them? also in regards to the caller, what good is it to bitch about prices? buy them or don't, but complaining WHILE your buying is just ridicules. I'm guessing Whitehead doesn't realize that iFanboy is brought up every week because, as you say, Chris and I participate there now. But either way, as I listen to these voicemails, I realize how happy I am that I turned down this dudes Facebook request(s). And by requests, I'm talking dozens of requests.

Not that it's any of my business, but I do recall he repeatedly said he LOVED the show and LOVED Chris, Wood, DAP and Vince. I took his comments to basically mean that he prefers the 11OC show when it is John, Paul, George and Ringo. He doesn't want Yoko, he doesn't want Linda McCartney, he doesn't want Pete Best. And, he wants the good stuff, the best of the best from the maestros involved. Granted, it was not exactly said that that way. And from that perspective, I get it. As much as the occassional guest is a treat, I prefer the Fab Four jibber jabbering: The Vince craziness, Jason's statistics/ hip hop, the King Dap silent snark and Chris unplugged. That there is a gold record. As for why Vince plays ALL voicemails, it's becuase Vince is awesome, He said it from Week 1. If you call in, he will play it. No editing. And I respect and admire that. If i could think of anythign intelligent to say, I would call in and feel good in knowing that he would play it.

Kind of like when Ike told Tina how much he loves her as he was wiping the blood off his hand from backhanding her? If THAT is affection for our show, then I'm not sure I want to hear the criticism.

I stand with Vince on this Jonah Hex looks horrible. It reviewed horrible. It did horrible at the box office. There are toooooooo many good films to see out there to go spend your hard earned dollars on that. ou could use that to buy that new hardcover that came out. I liked Ghost Rider, you know it didn't seem any worse that the old 70s comic to me. Hell it had Peter Fonda in it. Also it had Eva Mendes looking so right as rain up in that film it should be wrong. Eva>>Megan Fox How do I know it's going to bad. Well to tell the truth the only people who see more films than me are film critics. I actually know some. Once you see a lot these things you can tell from a trailer what is going to be good and what is going to be bad and what is going to fucking terrible. Jonah Hex is one of those. The film making looks bad, the script from the trailer sounds bad, the stupid guns sound bad, Eli Whitney---REALLY?, Megan Fox looks like every opinion people have of her in that movie, I don't like Malkovich in super ham mode, this movie is him in super ham mode. There are so many things that are warning signs that why go see it. Why waste that time. Cause it's comic based? Really? Really. I DIDN'T EVEN SEE IT FOR FREE. I saw Prince of Persia and that was so far for me the worst film of the year and it looks leagues above Hex. LEAGUES. I have never read that much Hex but I was introduced to the character through the episode of Batman the Animated Series where we see an older Hex vs. Ra's Al Ghul. It even had a mechanical spider but that 22 minutes of cartoon holds up. Now my man Chris, stop hating on New Avengers. I read it this week (borrowing) and it was great. It has some punches to the face in it. And yeah they chill out and eat. But what's wrong with that? Yes Bendis does go too far with it sometimes but this issue was dope. It also has a Black dude leading a super team out of a mansion. LIKE A BAWSE I know why wolverine is on so many teams, free food and a place to crash all over. He's super mooching. King DAP does the text piece at the end bother you in movies or films? Like Star Wars' bite of the flash gordon info dump at the begining or Goodfellas at the end. How about Cooley High? Or American Graffitti? Julian greatly dislikes Brightest day. Oh and Andy please don't see Prince of Persia. A-Team was fun and well made.
