Now my man Chris, stop hating on New Avengers. I read it this week (borrowing) and it was great. It has some punches to the face in it. Well, actually it doesn't..... Not even a little. Unless you are talking about Luke thunderclapping a woman (who had surrendered) across the room, it was noteworthy for it's total lack of "punches to the face" aka action.

Man Strange and Hellstrom had a begining, Voodoo was casting more spells than Black Mage in Final Fantasy. And yes the super black man clap was epic. That was her ackright.

Artist Jose Gonzalez didn't work on Vampirella until issue #12. The first hardcover from Dynamite are issues #1-7. I think you've got some Tom Sutton art. I'm still thinking of getting it. The back issues go for big bucks $25-50. Probably won't be able to get both Eeek and Zombie Tales trades from Asylum. Might go with Eeek. Little help from DCBS, do I hear 50% off. Duncan the Wonder Dog also seems interesting. I'll have to read through that 38 page preview PDF. I thought the voicemail caller, is it Wyatt or Why-It, was just obnoxious. I don't find him funny. Wasn't this the same voicemail guy who said he was calling from jail. Boo-hoo you can't afford comics and you don't understand big words.

Kind of like when Ike told Tina how much he loves her as he was wiping the blood off his hand from backhanding her? If THAT is affection for our show, then I'm not sure I want to hear the criticism. Hmmm....I didn't expect that response. I just went back and listened to the three voice mails. Not sure that I heard anything that would merit you dropping an anvil like that on him (or me, though I don't think you were aiming at me). He griped about prices (as we all have in voicemails and on the forums). He said he didn't like the guests (so be it, I doubt he is the only listener who has that opinion). And he missed Chris....well....maybe merit there....." The man aired a dissenting opinion. You may not have agreed. But to be fair, i think there have been a lot of voicemails over 114 episodes that we have all heard that you/ we/ I would not agree with. Not sure any of them received the Ike Turner treatment. "On Aggregate" Jason, I don't see the need to thump a guy that has listended to over 200 hours of your show.... I don't actually believe you guys only want listeners that agree with you. I do LOVE you guys. And I thank you for the show. And I will keep listening until you hang up your microphones.

There's a difference between disagreeing and complaining. You don't call into a show that you know will make your comments public and complain about their "lack of quality". That's about as unclassy as you can get.

I'm guessing Whitehead doesn't realize that iFanboy is brought up every week because, as you say, Chris and I participate there now. But either way, as I listen to these voicemails, I realize how happy I am that I turned down this dudes Facebook request(s). And by requests, I'm talking dozens of requests.
But why do you constantly reject MY facebook requests?!?!? I LOOOOOOOOVE you WOOOOOOOD! BE mY FRIEND!!!

I was directing my criticism toward Whitehead's voicemails, not your comments about them. And the "Aggregate" stuff made me laugh, it's hysterical to me that he actually counted. But his criticisms were pointed and UNINFORMED. He kept referencing iFanboy not knowing that "chrisneseman" (which apparently is all one word ), his self-described favorite, mentions them because he does a podcast for them. And that my column for them also comes up, on our show, which of course it would/should. I don't begrudge him his opinion, and if Vince wants to continue playing any and all comers, so be it. But I don't entertain imbecilic criticisms either. You don't like when we have guests? Cool, say so. But suggesting he wasn't speaking English? Calling David "Jew-y?" No thanks. Toolbag to the highest degree.

Look, here's the thing... I haven't even listened to the episode yet. And I have to work tomorrow. And yet I'm drinking quite a bit tonight. So these long posts without breaks? My mind can't follow them. Especially while I'm watching South Park. So yeah. Have pity. Keep it simple. Sorry, I'm a bit drunk right now. And I have to get up at 4:30. Yikes. Anyway, I wanna do a weekly podcast with Julian about punches to the face. Peace.

And let's not go down the "dissenting opinions aren't allowed" rabbit hole please. We love dissenting opinions, sometimes too much. I LIVE for debate, because it fosters passionate discourse. But just because someone is entitled to a dissenting opinion, doesn't mean they're immune from criticism of it. Informed dissension = The Awesomest of Sauces. I didn't hear that in this week's voicemails.

Here's a question - you say nothing else told you this was Jonah Hex. What else other than the face IS there to Jonah Hex? Confederate suit? Check. Rides a horse? Check. Ummm.... beyond that?? He may be in a more-serious "western" comic now but that hasn't always been the case. And I don't mean the Vertigo series either. The way the conversation took place on the ep, it was like there was a "defense" of Ghost Rider with exceptions/liberties while striking Jonah Hex down for the same reasons and it seemed way contradictory. Raising the dead, Bond-like gadgets and horse-mounted Gatling guns sounds like it fits under "liberties" to me. Yup. They be liberties. But they also make it a Jonah Hex movie I don't want to see. Or the futuristic Hex. That would be cool. I'm all for variations on a theme. I love me some Elseworlds and Mirror Universe Star Trek. I know if I see adapted from or based on at the beginning of a movie, things are not going to be 100% true to the source material. I'm cool with that. But there was nothing going on in the trailer that made me want to invest the time or money (like Dave A. and Chris Campbell have said better and more succinctly than I). It happens.

King DAP does the text piece at the end bother you in movies or films? Like Star Wars' bite of the flash gordon info dump at the begining or Goodfellas at the end. How about Cooley High? Or American Graffitti? At the end of the movie? You mean when the story is finished and we find out that someone spent 12 years in jail or their son was never found or they lived happily ever after? No. But the film is over. That's not the case with Fantastic Four. It's not over. The next issue will be out in about 30 days. Star Wars at the beginning? Nope. It's setting the stage. I like the recap pages at the beginning of comics, too. I get why people like them. It's just that I don't. That's all.

At least I have one more hater, that means I'm doing something right. "so what she/he keeps talking about you and hating on you. What do you think a "hater's" job is..to hate. if you have someone hating on you right now you better think of how to get 5 more people hating by Christmas. You need haters to make you stronger..w/o haters most people wouldn't try to become better. Just tell them "b*tch you just hate me because you can't be me..." -Katt Williams (before he went crazy)
