Thanks Farrell. You know, last night's episode FELT a little better than usual, which is to say amazing b/c every episode feels damn good. We were just riffing, lots of organic back and forth.

Only really good friends could do an episode like 117.   You guys are amazing because you make your audience feel like it's actually a part of all that friendly banter.  I've listened to other podcasts where the hosts were obviously buddies, but everything felt like an inside joke and there wasn't much sense that they even knew they had an audience.

 Yes

That's what I'm saying.

Thank you, Farrell.

I don't care what Richard and Dave and Adam say about you.  You're all right.

Yes

That's what I'm saying.

I think part of it, IMHO, was the drinks. We all were legitimately feeling them. Second, I think having a bit more of a free form to start us off got things flowing.

It was one of my favourite shows in a long time.

And that's saying a lot since you guys are my favourite comics podcast, it's like being a 5th guy listening to 4 of my friends talking about comics (and TV and other stuff Wink )

I hope we'll have more time to talk at NYCC than we did at C2E2!

Ya know, that could be it.

Yeah, I think we need Who talk to open the show more often.

 Wink

But I tried, boo.  We could have had our own nice little chat about Uncanny X-Force while Vince and Chris carried on about Doctor Who.

I hope we'll have more time to talk at NYCC than we did at C2E2!

Waving at you through a passing cab's window would still be more time together than we had at C2E2.

HA! Pretty much Smiley

I'll be at NYCC almost the entire time which is better than the 3 hours or so I spent at C2E2 total.

It was the lettering on things like the sign for Dixie's Firehouse or the awning of The Whilamut or Dukohnee's driver's license that I more or less have a problem with.  The sound effects are neat, the word balloons and the words inside look good, but then I get to a nice drawing and it looks like someone stuck the page in a typewriter and it looks kind of flat.

I'm with you. I hate, HATE, HATE, HATE it when digital type isn't well-integrated on signs, etc. It takes work, but it's totally doable.

Last year was an awesome con, I can't wait for it, 1.5 years between them is WAY too long.

I'm hitting 3 cons in 43 days (Fanexpo, Montreal, NYCC) so my end of summer/early fall is looking kick ASS.

I had to keep checking to see if I really saw Todd Klein's name in the credits.

But would that be Klein or Allred?  I'm tempted to say the latter, but I'm not well-versed in that aspect of the production.

I'll be honest though, Vince: that beer did some weird voodoo to you, man, and it wasn't altogether pretty.   Undecided

That's okay by me. Pretty is never my goal.

I dunno...that's such a gray area. I'm inclined to agree with you, although, I suppose it could have been added in after the fact by someone in DC production, too. Kind of a last minute thing, like the way that the Bullpen used to "correct" artwork?

For the first ewver I am listening to the show the sme week it is released so I feel I can join in
I agree with you Vince, Karen Gillen is the hottest woman ! And yeah, that last episode was AMAZING ! I loved the timey-wimey stuff in that last episode, with the Doctor zipping back and forward so many times. Oh yeah, Vince, the writing on the season was pure brilliance. Steve Moffatt is a legend !
Farscape was a great show, one of the best to come out of our fine country ! A great non-geek but hilariously funny show is The Chaser's War On Everything. Vince and Chris will love their Doctor Who song - here is the libk:

I was unhappy with the death of Nightcrawler, but you are right that it was a logical death in the military sense.
It did give me a good excuse to bust out the Alan Davis Excalbur run, one of my favourite runs of all time

Holy Crap that ep was just AWESOME! That goes down as one of your best guys. The episode a few weeks ago you did the 5 books of your closest stack was right up there but you just topped it. Great job all of you.
David has already stuck up for Vince concerning his JH comments. I was thinking the same thing as Jason was gasping in horror and questioning Vinces sanity. Vince said he thought JH was fantastic, just not on equal ground to Paul Pope. Completely reasonable I thought. Don't take crap Vince - turkey slap Wood next time you see him Tongue
I also thought Chris was really on the ball this episode and gave    some          reeeally inter......................ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
