She's on a Harry Potteresque show called Wizards of Waverly Place, but she appeared a few times on Hannah Montanta as a rival teen pop singer with an attitude. No idea if they dislike each other in real life, but that's where their onscreen feud originated.

One picks up stuff when they have tween girls in the house...  Whistle

No one would take any of the last three pages in this thread seriously, would they?

Listening to #17 now...

J.G. Jones on Final Crisis... frankly I'm enjoying the work my own self and think it fits to the story that Grant Morrison is writing- in fact I wouldn't be surprised if Morrison had Jones in mind when he pitched it...

Justiniano...  When I first saw his work back in the day on a Beast Boy mini-series, I wasn't that thrilled, but he's really grown since then (Vince is wrong on this he hasn't stayed the same), he's gotten a lot more subtlety to his work and his characterizations, and it first started to show in The Creeper, but it absolutely blossomed in the Doctor Fate series in Countdown to Mystery... so Wood, the trade is coming out soon for Doctor Fate and if you haven't read that, that should probably be on your list...

Manga and Chris Neseman's reaction... What's up wit dat? I get the feeling of some of the dreaded "hate" there... I used to buy a lot more of it than I do now (which is hardly any these days- I've still got the complete Dark Horse re-packagings of Astro Boy to read), but what ... ain't this as valid as any other comics...

Vince, you ever see Takashi Miike's movie, Fudoh?- if not, you might want to look into that sometime...

Hugh Jarse... absolute brilliance...

Divine Right was the book David was looking for...

As always, another fantastic show guys...

Hugh Jarse... absolute brilliance...

Hugh Jass is actually a Chicago Police Officer in The Savage Dragon book.  Along with Richard Head, Ben Dover and a score of others that curse Erik Larsen for naming them.  Cheesy

Jeez, now I feel bad, not because I might have come across like a skeevy old perv, but that I indirectly caused YOU grief.  Cry

Guess I'm gonna have to take the overall "feel" of the forum into consideration more, huh?  Thinking

sooooo late in on this one, but wanted to say nice episode guys.

But did Vince say he used to shit on gay men? Was that directly or were they under glass tables? Did they pay him?

And I too get a bit weirded out with the manga and never want to read it in public as someone will always look over your shoulder on the "oops, I've fallen and dropped my school books" page with the 10 year old girls underwear. That said, Death Note is one of my top 5 ever books as it has virtually none of that.
Oh and HUGE kudos for mentioning Hideshi Hino's stuff. Been trying to get a copy of Panorama of Hell for years, you just cant get them over here. That guy can take the whole surreal, disjointed quality of a nightmare and put it on paper better than anyone I've seen.

And Johannson dont do it at all for me, tho I do love 8 legged freaks. And 50cent/Eminem new rap type crap sucks, but I can listen to NWA and older stuff all day. Damn, wanna go watch CB4 now
