I have to put my vote with Adam Warlock.  Sure, he was tied up with the seemingly never-ending Infinity saga, and this new incarnation doesn't exactly jive with previous appearances, but I love that Jim Starlin Space Messiah stuff.

And my vote goes to Captain Mar-Vell... Starlin set the standard with this one...

Just what I was going to say.

However, I am really liking the new incarnation of Nova.  I really hope that Marvel sticks with the title.  I'd hate for him to end up in Limbo somewhere.

Galactus is the reason I started reading Marvel comics, so that one's pretty cut and dry for me.

Thanos, in his complex days.  Not the one who gets beat up by Ka-Zar.

Basically anything pre-1995 involving Thanos is an awesome story.  The only exception I can think of is the back up from Logan's Run #6.  Hell, the Thanos appearance in Spidey Super Stories was a lot of fun.  Who knew that Thanos flew around in a helicopter that said "Thanos" on the side of it and threw bombs?  Of course, he did get beat up by The Cat (aka Tigra).  But yeah, Thanos Quest was awesome and still holds up.

Hmmm I have had another think and decided on the Thing!

I know strange choice.  But that Jim Starlin Marvel two In One Annual which crossed over into the Avenger's Annual was just awesome.  The scene where Spider-man makes Ben jump while he is reading Stephen King is one of my favourite in comics.

I originally read it in black and white in a UK reprint magazine and it looked excellent.

Starlin really is so consistent.  Still producing kick ass stuff now (and a really cool guy to boot). Thumbs Up

That and the issues of Silver Surfer that led up to it...  Damn!  Those were some great reading.   Thumbs Up

Strange that more people like Thanos over the Silver Surfer?  I guess being evil is better! Evil

In the past it was Quasar?  But the character got soft and I guess that's why Marvel killed him and created a new Quasar.

Currently I love NOVA!

Overall, though I have to go with Silver Surfer.  He seems to be the guy that connects the entire Marvel Cosmic together.  Most of the characters run into him and/or were introduced via his books.

Aw -- he didn't get soft, he just got writers that didn't grasp the character. Wink
