Gladstone's School for World Conquerors

Anybody else read this?
I bought it because it looked like a nice all ages book for my son but enjoyed it myself. As I was reading it I thought it was just a comical look at young kids learning how to be villains but dealing with all the things normal kids go through like Love, teasing, and homework. But there's a nice twist at the end that really made me interested in the next issue and took the book from something that I thought my son would only enjoy to something that has grabbed my curiosity.
My son also really enjoyed it.

I've preordered all the ones that have been solicited and #1 is in my next dcbs shipment, looking forward to reading it. Good to hear the feedback as well, I wasn't sure how it was going to be but it seemed like it was something I would enjoy and then I heard the writer on an ifanboy podcast and it locked it up for me ordering the first several issues to check out.
I will post again once my box comes and I check it out.

We reviewed this on last Monday's Weekly Comics Spotlight:
http://www.comicbookpage.com/Podcast/?p=533
John & I both gave it a 5/5......
I thought it was a great book. The animation-style art complemented the subject matter really nicely. I loved the story & characterization. One of the better books I've read in the "school for super-kids" sub-genre of comics.

Glad to hear it. I think if it hadn't been for that little twist at the end it could have fallen in as another mediocre "school for the super-kids" comic. But just that little bit of intrigue sets it apart nicely.

I read it and loved it. Wish we had more comics like this one. I thought the art was really the key: nice and clean with flat colors that popped off the page.

Great review!
I really liked the book quite a bit as well. It's perfect Saturday morning cartoon fodder.

I really liked it; good story, great art, and some excellent character designs.
And I like the twist at the end with the adult heroes and villains.
